Will We Make It Up Mount Yamnuska?

Now that the weather is mostly cleared up we're trying for a mountain that's been right in front of us for days now, Mount Yamnuska. It supposedly has some scrambles and a section with chains. How hard could it be right? We planned on at least getting to a viewpoint before the summit but we'll see.
It's a 5.6 mile lollipop loop with 3,038 ft of elevation gain (9 km and 926 meters) so it's another tough one!

A bit scary indeed, with the exposure and then the electrical discharge on top. I would say your chances of being struck by lightning were pretty high...🤔

When your hair starts standing up on end, that is your warning to get off the mountain. It means the lightning is taking aim at you. ⚡😨

Very much enjoying watch you and Tina play in our backyard! I have hiked up to the viewpoint many times, but never managed to hike the backside of the "Yam" as we affectionately call it. Even rock climbed the face in my much younger years, but lost my nerve 3 pitches up 😄. Since posting your videos, my hubby and I checked out the Heights lookout (pleasantly surprised how nice the trail is) and hiked around Many Springs 3x - what a gem. The Ladyslipper Orchids were in full bloom. Thank you for taking us along - even after 30 years of hiking these mountains we are discovering new places!

Oh my!!! The views...how stunning 😲 I live in Quebec, and through your videos, I can contemplate that wonderful part of my country. You both really had to be brave with those chains!!! and that rain wall was something too 😮 Also, the static at the top looked scary, even if Tina's hair were funny! Thanks so much! Scary hike. Did the precipice trail in Acadia National Park and I thought that was scary. Well done.

Unbelievable! So much to take in and comment on. The music was perfect too with the adventurous theme. With the loons in the river I might have had the fly rod out looking for some tasty trout. Thanks so much Jay and Tina for sharing this with us!
