You can be hot and cold.. it happens to me hiking in michigan. It sucks when you sweat and then when you stop.. gives you a chill 😱 Those first days always get me on a big hike! it’s pretty amazing how fast your body can get use to the grind tho. i’m 43 and feel it pretty good 😂 Thinking about doing the azt next spring ( 2025) i have a friend from the u.p of michigan that did it a little over a year ago, and have a uncle in tucson… fingers crossed 🤞 Thanks for sharing your journey with us all 🫡 💪🏼

im thinking of grabbing the oru lake, but I'm 200 Lbs and I'm worried that this would not be suitable for me since it only holds 250. Thoughts?

Great video! You do an excellent job of not only capturing the highlights but tips and tricks along the way. Happy Trails!! Jason brought up your name a couple times on our trip last week. He was wondering if you and Tina spent time in Rogers Pass, BC, Canada? We hiked Perley Rock and thought of you two. Once again your name came up as we hiked from our camp at Lillian Lake in Kananaskis Country, AB up to the Galatea Lakes. Cheers!!

I really like the oru's form factor but have they essential stopped innovating? I bought a 2025 tucktec and it's been small improvements year over year whereas, the oru seems to stay static. Or maybe they concentrate more on their higher end models.

That bell is too small. You need an extra large cow bell that is about the size of a hardcover harry potter book.

What’s the dimensions for ends of the awning? Maybe you can fit a stretchable silicon or rubber endcaps to protect it at highway speeds

I am all caught up again. I didn't realize I had missed some videos. Have you tried any gold panning? I bet there is a lot of gold in the gravel bars. Awesome trip.

I enjoy the entire variety of your channel. From your hikes to fishing. One thing about Alaska, it is a survival state, So hunting and fishing are how people get their food for the winter and throughout the year. It is cool to see you evolve into a good fisherman. In Utah it was kind of a struggle. Now you are knocking it out. Just my opinion and we all have our thought. Just do you and what you enjoy.

Awesome! I hope you get to see Bears and Caribou. Maybe if you are in the right area some Dall Sheep. You almost need a Spotting scope just to see miles and miles beyond. Thanks Jay.

Have you found a good white every day shoes for wide feet? One that might look like a trendy Cariuma Salva or any of the other classic low profile all-white sneakers that tend to be unisex. I haven’t found any wides.

Really nice review, thank you! This is an awesome side by side comparison. I recently bought a new Tucktec, and they sent me the new 2025 model. I just received it yesterday and haven't had time to play with it yet. But since I had really wanted an Oru, I am really happy to hear what you said about the Tucktec! I feel much better now :) thanks again

Is it as light as they say? I watched their assembly video and kind of want to buy one myself!
@CatfightingGirl
@CatfightingGirl 8 күн бұрын
@@JayWandersOut I haven't weighed it but it does seem light. I thought it took more muscles to assemble than they make out, but i was able to do it. I guarantee the one the 8 year old girl assembled was not brand new. I should add that I didn't really expect it to be that easy to assemble first time, and so far I am very happy with the boat but it hasn't been in the water yet

Thank you for all the Alaska videos. Driving your own 4Runner all the way up to Prudhoe Bay was very inspiring. I’m hopefully taking delivery of my own T4R ORP in the next few days. Now I know where I can go with it.

Much of the Caldera used to be ranch land for a man named Dunnigan. I could be off on the name a bit. But in the 60s and 70s you could see thousands of head of cattle grazing. Clinton made it a Natural Preserve in the 90s.

Those mark the sides of the road so the truckers know where the edge is during the winter when visablity is poor.
