Open circuit is off/disconnected. Closed circuit is on/connected

Good morning, I have a jjrc q39 highlander 1:12 4wd rc but the reverse gear does not work. I don't know if I have to link the remote with the car or how to do it. Can you help me to solve the problem of the reverse gear?

Maybe open because you can then change batterys!
