In 2021. Just discovered your channel and I think this series is so dope. You taking the time to explain match up charts and what each players game plan is going into the match is beyond amazing for somebody like me who doesn’t know everything about the FGC but follows channels such as the fellows of yo video games, Matt Mcmuscles, wolly, and such this series was great.

This was a really awesome video! Being a gamer since i was as young as 2 years old and now being over the age of 30, that E.Honda fight definitely gave me hope with certain characters i have loved over the years in certain fighting games. Just a little story about myself. When i was around the age of 5 or 6? I remember going to a candy store with my dad and there was STREET FIGHTER II standing there in the corner with a teenager playing the game. I watched the person play a few matches while my dad was busy doing whatever it was at the time. The teenager asked me if i wanted to play a match against him, and being so young at the time i was really intimidated by him but accepted the challenge. I still remember it as clear as day. I chose Chun-Li against his Ryu. And guess what? This younger version of me, a small scared kid, beat him 2-0. And he just looked at me and smiled and said "wow, good job dude" and shook my hand. I will always remember this moment in my life. A bit after whenever SFII hit the SNES, i broke my arm, and my dad got me the game as a gift. I played the game even with the cast on. Several hours a day with my older brother. I don't really play fighting games much anymore, accept for Smash Bros. (if you can even classify it as a fighting game of course). But i still enjoy watching tournaments and videos like this one. If you had the chance to read this, thank you for spending the time to get through it all. I really enjoyed this video and felt the need to share this moment with you guys. -Draygen

Diego Flores I'd hardly put it in the same conversation with any physical sport, but it ripe for analysis and is also quite competitive. It's no more of a sport than a monopoly tournament though. At least not in my opinion. I'm glad people can get paid to play games. If it stated earlier I would have tried to find a way to go pro some game or another.

Great video. I play fighting games, and as someone who's starting sf2 and old games it's hard to get that common scene knowledge that people had growing up playing the game. So much of it just disappeared in the change from board to websites and so on. Maybe at a tournament I'll gleam something from another player but even then! So I find videos like this dope. Thanks man. Keep preaching to the choir. We love it.

Actually, I always was real bad at the SF games(for me as a kid it was too hard to learn them, without move lists or something alike) and so I never really played them much. But I recently got some motivation, to play them with my friends and to get better. Now this motivation got me also to search for knowledge about the history these classic game series and I really enjoyed your video. Moments like this one with Kusumondo or the evo 37 moment with Daigo are so awesome and I really enjoy getting to know more of those. So thank you, for this ^^
