I hadn't heard of her until the Grammys. Then I searched for her on Spotify, listened to her music, and goodness! She is now my favorite new artist. Absolutely great! I believe Ella, Sarah, Billie and other great jazz songstresses would be proud.

She sang "Guess who I saw today". I, like you and many others was so happy and elated that she won for Best New Artist. She truly deserves it. I love this type of Jazz Singer. I would love to hear her sing songs by the late great Mr. Walter Jackson. Mr. Jackson is deceased however his music lives on. If I'm not mistaken he was from Chicago. I recall that he had a disability that did not stop him from performing. I would love to hear her sing his songs especially. "My Funny Valentine".
