This is such an outstanding project, it is wonderful to have your take on it Jesse. The content is worthy of any construction site, even if some of the equipment is not as shiny. I'm thinking that Andrew must have a lot of batteries for his drone, as it always seem to be hovering above the castle when the POV is in the right direction. I think Andrew made the point that it gives him an eye in the sky for when he is unsighted, although we can hear you giving instructions via the wee radios. Those are nasty looking working conditions, although come to think of it, I worked in similar conditions on my dad's farm when I was a lad. I didn't much enjoy it though.

Such a very unique project, and so well done! Great seeing builders standing on their work! You guys really put your money where your mouth is! 🤓

Andrews videos are absolutely amazing, but I think yours are a little better with the technical details of the project. Loved the review of the metal cutting skilsaws. I am impressed with the Milwaukee. Excellent job finishing up the peaks and valleys with the diamond plate steel. X marks the spot, needs a drone pad. Thanks for sharing Jessie.

Awesome stuff Jesse. So many great things about it. All of you working that steel is amazing. I appreciated your comments on the various things like your saw and the magnetic drill. I am amazed that a hand held skill saw type tool could cut that easily through 3/16th steel. Must have something a little more "under the hood" so to speak. Great job.

Totally amazing video!

I noticed before that the panels overlapped the valleys, and the ridge caps overlapped the panels. Until this video, I didn't realize that the horizontal joints where shingled with a 2" overhang. I must not have paid close enough attention, but I didn't notice the tabs welded in before, and I thought they were just butted together like the vertical seams. And then you were helpful enough to put in the text graphic explaining exactly what you did. I would agree with you that Andrew should paint that roof with a paint with having high reflectivity. There are several elastometric paint coatings specially formulated for metal roofs that have that reflectivity. The closed cell spray foam will do a great job stopping convective and conductive heat gain, but not so much with the radiant.

What a crazy project!! Those who will have to tear down this roof one day will have a lot of fun lol

Very interesting presentation of the more intricate designs and installation techniques. Some of the high angle views were making my stomach feel flip floppy.

You gotta start this over Jessie. You forgot your morning coffee! I gotta teach y'all everything? Lol

For guys that don’t do this kind of work every day, you guys are pretty impressive. The structure and the metal cladding are all pretty tricky. Were any mistakes made? If you do ever have to get a job, working with a crane, for someone else, just make sure you don’t say, “spool in/out”. The correct term is, “cable up/down”. As long as everyone’s on the same page, it really doesn’t matter. Just bustin yer chops a little. Something else for that day when you gotta go work for ‘The Man’, try to remember correct shackle orientation. The pin of the shackle is always either in the hook, or pointed up towards the hook (whenever possible). Since everything was pretty much a custom rig every time, it really doesn’t matter that much but it’s always good to remember ‘best practices’. Very nice job guys! 👍 🤜🤛

Have you guys given any thought to the expansion and contraction stresses on all that steel plate??

Very nice project. You guys welded up every plate . When summer comes the Sunshine will heat up the roof quite some degrees. This means the metal WILL expand. Won't those plates buckle? I mean, they have nowhere else to go because they are welded to each other and to the beams.

will all the seams be welded complete to seal water from getting through or are they overlapped like a roof shingle ? looks like a great job nice work
