I have a job that I love that people are shocked that I enjoy it, since working as a hotel front desk receptionist isn't what people think of as a fun job (I'm just so naturally extroverted that it's fun for me, and everyone there is awesome, also kind of helps that it's different from a traditional hotel). My second job in the summer I forget is even a job because I enjoy it so much, I work as part of the town historical society as a tour guide to show people around and tell them useless facts about everything, something I did for free growing up. For example, the town I live in and grew up in used to be its own country in the mid-19th century, as it was claimed by both the US and Canada and we were tired of being taxed by both.

I used to stock and restock shelves at one of the grocery store supermarkets I live near. Now, I work at GameStop, and it's a WAY better job for me here. It's perfect for my love of video games. I'm working here until I graduate from college with a 4 year bachelor's degree in computer science, so I can be a game developer and video game designer. I'll either work at a game company like Nintendo or start my own game company in the future.

going straight from food service to retail, i was GOING THROUGH IT bro, and my dad is a trucker. he gets little to no sleep, and tends to drive starting at around 1-2 in the morning. he’s almost never home, and frequently drives to new york, or oregon, or california. we live in georgia

my dad drove a truck a long time ago, and it was the hardest job he ever had to do. he would even sleep there nights in a row, he needed to get everything out of the truck and help put them in the store he was delievering to and it was sooo frustrating. After a while he quit, cuz his doctors were saying it wasnt good for his back. i have mad respect for him.

i loved my first retail job so much. Great managers they were so accommodating and just really helpful not rude in any way, got along with all my co workers, and the customers i had to help were pretty decent. Real disappointed it was a seasonal only job but i’d have to quit anyways because my family was moving.

My first job as a cashier at a grocery store. Mangers at that time we’re chill, customers were decent especially with snowbirds coming down around October, and some coworkers either fw you or just NPCs. Stayed for a year then quit cause the new managers were ass and made it be soul crushing during work.

As a person who works for fast food places it is horrible. I get called at like 12 at night, the pay is bad, and there is very annoying people. Once someone threw an ice cream at me at 1 in the morning. I still do it bc I need money. So many Karen’s come in the place I work and they are SOOOO ANNOYING.

My first job was a janitor. My first day I had to clean up literal shit off the wall in the employee only bathroom. I somehow got fired in a month. Idk why.

I work at Chick-Fil-A right now and I've been there for about 10 months ish, and normally it's okay but sometimes it's hell. Like my managers are soooooo picky about everything so it's annoying at times, which I understand from a customer pov but it's still irritating. I would say the worst thing about fast food though is my idiot coworkers. Fast food hires everyone, including retail rejects, and the people I work with are completely incompetent and I think that's the worst part of everything. But at least we close at 10pm, so all the front employees are gone by 10:30, but us back of house people usually stay and close and don't get out until like 12, 1am sometimes. It just depends on how much needs to be cleaned and things

I worked at a Hardee's once. The 2 memorable moments I had there was dealing with high people, (If you go to fast food places high, f*ck you!) and one time my manager asked me to clean the dinner room. There was a homeless guy in there, and when I went to get more cleaning cloths, I came back, and I sh*t you not...the guy was gone, and he left his pants on the table.

I once opened a Porta potty and there was diarrhea smeared all over the walls, floor, and ceiling.

Telemarketing wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't commission based, with sales quotas, with no basepay. Getting hung up on doesn't matter if you're still getting that bag.
