You're right about it being false. A person can watch 5 cruisers roll up on a routine traffic stop. A person can be walking and get their ID ran just to check for warrants. A person can watch 8 cops struggle to detain 1 person. It's gotten absolutely absurd. Electing the same fuckin people to make a new law, to counter an old law, that they put in place, that you were already too ignorant to understand. Got so busy rooting for the good guys that you forgot to measure their standards through the years.

Don't listen to Veronica. It's an amazing career and you'll see and get to do things daily the average citizen will never get to do. The career is what YOU make it. Don't listen to the media or social media. I've had more people approach me and thank me in person than people approach me with hate. Also, remember to treat everyone with respect, even the gangbangers and career criminals. Don't be a pushover to them but be respectful. And don't get amped up. It's scarier to be told "If you with fight me I will hurt you" by someone who is calm and collected then some dude screaming it. Plus, if you show you are in control of your emotions, even in a fight, your going to get better support by the public watching from the outside looking in. Good luck and stay safe out there. And do good always.

The primary considerations for Law-Enforcement administrators are budget, scheduling, and covering their own ass. However, the needs of the street officer are far more complex. This problem is at the core of many high-profile use-of-force incidents. Until we start holding administrators accountable for failing to PROPERLY prepare their officers, nothing will change.
@camonly849

I agree with you, except it's not really on command. Academies have a state curriculum they have to follow for legality purposes. They cannot deviate because those techniques can be defended in court. If the academy staff goes outside and teaches something not backed, you can get absolutely screwed in court. Lawyers fuck us and is the reason why everything is a complete pain in the dick.
@pinkydavis6113
@pinkydavis6113 2 ай бұрын
My comment was directed at the ongoing training that is supposed to take place long after the academy. Given the number of “experts” who provide such training it’s impossible to expect that any of it will be completely in line with academy standards . Moreover, academy curriculums are nothing more than a quick-start guide for general law enforcement procedures . The real training takes place at the individual agencies. As a use-of-force training provider I have seen administrators thoughtlessly send their subordinates to arbitrary training courses with no real long-term goal in mind. Their primary concern is acquiring a meaningless certificate of training that can be placed in the officers file. This insulates the administrator from liability should the officer malfunction on the street. Therefore, the effectiveness of said training and the qualifications of a given instructor is generally an afterthought. Many of these training programs are heavily flawed, and when they fail to work as advertised, the individual officer is left to twist in the wind. I lay this predicament solely at the feet of the modern law enforcement administrator.
@camonly849
@camonly849 2 ай бұрын
@pinkydavis6113 Yes, in that case I would definitely agree...it makes it so they can essentially black list the officer. I agree on all your points tho. I'm fortunate that my department is big enough it can put on its own academy. So the academy that I get is geared towards my department etc. That is nice. I had a 21 week academy and 6 months FTO afterwards...can't believe this guy said he only had 2 months...that's crazy...

One man patrols are usually for departments with small man power or shortage of man power ,and even tho it has to be done in those departments one man patrols are tactically inferior to two man patrol’s especially in regards to car stops with multiple occupants or certain calls like domestic calls having a rookie with 2 months experience go out alone is something I am not a fan of there’s is more chances of that rookie making mistakes when not having someone to correct it ,and in the modern times that could lead to termination of employment or worse indictment further if that one man loses his temper in a situation he doesn’t have a partner to intervene ,and stop him from possibly going to far so not a fan of one man patrols

You are one of the bad police that hates body cameras. It sucks watching a police officer act like a butthead and then everyone watches their camera and agrees. It’s obvious when you can hurt people indiscriminately it makes them follow orders and you get the end result you want or you shoot them which was basic police protocol from the 60’s to the early 2000’s. But now citizens can watch a 45min BWC and really break the interaction down in real time objectively. And that most suck for American police because most of them can’t handle the stress and then end up killing a 13 pound blind dog or like the 50% of cops that go home and beat their wives. A guy that speeds doesn’t sound so bad compared to that.

What rational person would even consider becoming a cop? After watching countless body cam videos, I know law enforcement is no longer considered an honorable and respectful profession. Nowadays, it would take a lunatic to ever dream of becoming a peace officer. In reality, there are several KZfaq channels dedicated to exposing ignorant cops who are ignorant of the rights citizens have in the United States. Many cops in this country don't even know the laws. I highly recommend taking a screenshot of this list of KZfaq channels and then doing a search for them here on KZfaq. Because then, you can become more knowledgeable about the tyranny that is taking place in this country. 1. Audit Archive 2. The Civil Rights Lawyer 3. Shields of Shame 4. US - Corrupt Cops 5. Dirty Cops 6. Brutal cops

Correct, it would take a lunatic to be a cop in today’s world. More the reason to respect the ones that do it because it’s a job that needs to be done for society to function. Without law enforcement you’d be living in a very different world beyond most people’s imagination. Even with the authority to penalize the population for criminal activity, crime is thriving and increasing in almost every state and country for that matter. Now imagine how it would be without police
