Joe Montana is so down to earth. I know Tom Brady was amazing but Joe Montana won games with his arm, mind, feet, nerves of steel, and heart. He did things that were just magical, gave up his body and won 4 SB's in nine years. Too me he is still the GOAT.

Joe was great but in the end, he only won 4 Conference Championships, and the 4 Super Bowls. Brady won 10 Conference Championships and 7 Super Bowls, MVP of 5 of them. Yes they could hit the QB in the 80's but there also wasn't free agency and Joe didn't lose his best players every few years to other teams.

Then how does Brady have 5 Superbowl MVP's 1 Edelman 1 Branch. Maybe of Brady's 2 Superbowls the defense was probably the main reason they won. Maybe 2 Superbowls, with a ratio of (60%def-40%off.). However even then Brady has 6 game winning drives in the 4th quarter or OT in ALL Superbowl wins. That's all time ALL TIME clutch. If you want to get technical he got the lead or tie late in the 4th quarter of ALMOST EVERY SUPERBOWL he played in. 9 of 10!!

Not necessarily. Remember the rules are the same for all the QBs regardless of the era. But the fact that playing QB was a lot tougher back then makes him the GOAT in my eyes. People will argue that it's Brady, but Brady started twice as many games and played for 7 seasons longer and that's probably due to having far more protection from the rules. What really impressed me about Joe was his accuracy... just watch the Denver SB... every pass was in the bread basket, including the bombs to Jerry and John in full stride.

Good point when I took the Constitution Test in 8 the grade. It studied like crazy. They said if you don't pass you have to do 8 the grade again. I was not a good student but I slammed that test. Joe is right if you have a big test in life you must practice allot and your confidence will take off. You have to be ready. Thank you Joe for being a Great example. Best to you Dave from Sebastopol

Brady played under easier rules. Watch the film. Brady has a stronger arm. Montana was more mobile & accurate. He also took a harder beating in his career and it’s not even close

@@sportstoday8837 How can "clutchness" (not even a word) be better when Joe Montana NEVER lost a SuperBowl or threw a single INT in the SuperBowl? You are BIAS! I agree that Brady is better but MOST of your stat comparisons are because Brady has played more games. The REAL way to compare the 2 is RATIOS and AVERAGES. Brady played longer because the NFL got QB friendly in Brady's era. Montana even said that in Brady's NFL, he could play until he was 70 (of course he was exaggerating but you get the point).

@@sportstoday8837 people don't understand - when one person says a player is the best and you bring up stats that means you aren't watching the game itself. you're not watching the player themselves. even if you're right, you're right for the wrong reasons. Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete I've ever seen. Does he have a single stat that means anything? NOPE. He's the greatest athlete of the past 100 years, though. Jordan was better than Lebron even though Lebron has the career stats.

@@sportstoday8837 it’s not a debate , Brady not only lost his 4th appearance to an inferior team. Brady never defeated HOF Caliber defenses in divisional & conference championship games like Joe. The Ring argument is illogical, no one calls Bill Russell the GOAT with 11 rings to Jordan’s 6. Montana more accurate 🆚 real press coverage. When did Brady have to have the threat of being destroyed by Lineman “LEGALLY”. You’re right not a debate Montana better at scrambling , won in tougher era, against tougher competition , Montana dominant undefeated Super Bowl runs. Brady lost to subpar competition and even back ups 😬 TRY AGAIN
