The friend that connected Warner and Purdy has to be his college coach, Terry Allen. Allen was an assistant at Iowa State in the past, and his son Chase played TE at Iowa State all 4 years Purdy was there.

@@jordanflores5687 His first game as a tiny baby he was ever at was Dan Marino's final year at a Dolphins vs Jets game so no he didn't actually watch him play or at least remember it but he's been a Marino fan since virtually day 1 lol. I'm a49ers fan btw and this was from statements he made that were reported locally though I have seen some tweets out there make mention of it.

It's funny how everybody is so afraid to say Brock Purdy is capable of going to a SB. From a skill set stand point, he's more capable, more dynamic than Jimmy. Hands down. You can tell just by the aggressive, confident play calling by Kyle. It's opened up or offense like never before. The only reason this kid went last in the draft is his size. Everybody is looking for a 6'5 230lb prototype pocket QB. So much so, that they ignore obvious talent, confidence and poise. Brady, Brees, and now Purdy. If Jimmy made it to the SB riding the coattails of our defense, Brock can sure a hell do the same, and he can do it better. Go Niners!!!

If he can play from behind then we’re set! That’s something Jimmy could never do. I feel like that’s always been the missing link. Because when we go against these high scoring offenses we’re eventually about to play from behind. I believe in Brock.. 🙏🏽

There is a video of Warner hanging out and throwing passes with Jared Goff and passing him some mojo. So if Warner can pass some more mojo to Brock even better! KW is the original number 13 GOAT!

Purdy wears 13 because him and his dad were dolphins fans growing up and Marino was their favorite player, even though Marino was essentially done when Purdy was born.

I don't think the Rams had the expectations that the 9ers had going into that year. They were hopeful but still no one knew if they'd even be good with Green. Then Kurt came along and the rest is history. He was serviceable his first year then just became a Maniac

Dan Marino, and he was in attendance at that dolphins game where Brock and the 49ers won during week 13 I might add. Being mr irrelevant. I will say nothing about good or bad luck. I know when he first went to Iowa he was 13 like at Perry HS, but switched it to 15 because of another player, started 49ers with 14, buuuut #13 KeeSean Johnson was cut and he got it back. So its important.
