Kratom genuinely saved my life at the height of my Lyme pain. However I did get addicted for a while. Thankfully I quit back in December when my pain finally subsided a bit and didn't even have withdrawals even after a 2 year addiction.

I use Kratom as a tool to focus when I'm trying to make music, or as a stimulant for when I'm going to a social gathering. I also sometimes have some in my protein shake after a workout when it's a nice day so when I'm walking home I can take in my surroundings better. Like most people here are saying, it's really not as bad as Joe is making it out to be. I think it's largely misunderstood as just another drug to get you fucked up, but I see it as more of a natural medication for depression and addiction. It's a miracle plant and I love it ❤️

It only sounds excessive because the capsules that kratom are sold in only hold a half gram so 10 pills equals 5 grams which is actually a very common low-medium dose for most people.

I was addicted to opiates for over a year. Never bought them from the street, my dr prescribed them to me. After wanting to get off them, I did Suboxone for two weeks. I weaned off of that and tried Kratom. It has stopped my cravings, given me energy for the day and makes me feel relaxed. I am now officially two weeks clean from opiates. I will never look back! I’m 4 weeks off of Kratom, and can tell you that the withdrawals are absolutely nowhere near as bad as opiates. I weened myself off, but I would equate it more to a nicotine withdrawal than a oxy withdrawal. My worst symptom was getting the “jimmy legs” before I woke up in the morning. Plus, I sneezed a lot. But compared to suboxone, the withdrawal was nothing.

It does give you a "HIGH" but it's different... it's a powerful experience for sure, a very positive one! As someone who's in chronic pain all the time, I'm disappointed in Joe. That feeling he got only happens the first few times, and it's not nearly as pronounced as marijuana one bit. I take Kratom and proud of it. Be careful not to abuse it. Taking ten isn't even technically abusing it. Shit man take ten tylenol and see how you come out. You'll overdose and need your stomach pumped.

This is ridiculous. I use kratom every day and I’m VERY healthy and live an active lifestyle. I work full time and have two degrees. I’m a PERFECT example of someone who can use kratom safely. Please don’t bad mouth kratom. There’s millions of ppl who use it SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY every day.

For over a year, I was taking 800mg. of caffeine every morning. With one week of kratom, I was completely off of it, and have no desire for either. Truly an amazing plant!

In Malaysia, we call it ketum, some people here that used it for traditional medicine, boil the leaves and drink it like a tea it's good for pain relief, sore muscles, diabetes, etc. And some people that want to get the "kick"/high from the plant here used to boil the leaves and mix it with cough syrup or strong carbonate drink like coca cola, pepsi or mountain dew.

I have asbergers and Kratom helps me chill/normalize to a degree but I’ve noticed quick access to information recall is affected to some degree on higher doses. You don’t want to take high doses for long periods or you WILL experience withdrawal symptoms for about a week. Taper off progressively for about a month to avoid that completely. Enjoy.

Anyone thinking about using kratom, or just starting out with kratom, I would suggest to be very careful, and practice strong self-discipline. If you start taking it more and more, you can easily get to the point where you need to take it all day long morning to night, and can't go more than an hour or 2 without it. And once you are at this point, quitting is extremely difficult. It's a long arduous, horribly depressing battle.

I'm from Thailand. In here people boil the leaves and drink it like tea. It doesn't make you high but gives an energy and in a good mood. 😁😁

My knees and back are wrecked from years of doing concrete and they had me on pain therapy fucking morphine patches and OC.....buddy of mine told me about Kratom and I've been taking for 2 years now and haven't touched any opioids since...... It isn't a cure all for chronic pain but it definitely takes the edge off and it's allowed me to keep working physically demanding jobs

The effects vary wildly depending on the individual. For me it soothed the ever present nerve pain in my arms and legs. My arms and legs feel like they're on fire and for whatever reason Kratom helps. The burning sensation has been so pervasive that I've frozen my loved ones out of my house by running the A/C until ice cicles are hanging from the ceiling. I feel normal while being able to think clearly due to the dulling of chronic pain. For me there's no high rather I notice 20 minutes later I can think more clearly. I suggest you try it while at home to see how if at all it effects you. For me the white leaf works the best which goes against the descriptions. It works for some and not others. I suggest you buy a very small quantity to see if helps. 1 teaspoon mixed with 8 oz of water is what I take.

*I have serious sciatic nerve damage ATM, and after I take a BIG dose of Kratom, the nerve starts twitching and firing, and my foot and leg start WORKING significantly better. My muscles literally spasm out of the numbness from it stimulating the nerve with enough magnitude. I can feel my foot more. It also is a miracle for pain! For me, Kratom used to remove all depression completely. I mean all of it. Made you super interested in activities, relaxed, joyful; energetic. No hangover and it’s easy to kick. It’s the perfect drug. It still gives me energy years later, but the calm euphoria is reduced due to tolerance, sadly. It’s hardly a scary or harmful drug at all.

if you guys are curious about what it feels to high on kratom, ask a Malaysian, especially the ones in the north region. we mix kratom water with coke(because kratom is super bitter) * we also add some cough syrup to get more high effects(not good for your health obviously). its actually lean but in south east asia version. we call it as “koroi”

I guess it depends on your chemistry and physiology. I've been using kratom(red mengda, green and white Malay and Bali) for about 2 years now. My usual dose is about 3-5 g daily, broken up into 3 or 4 servings. I was able to kick a dependency of painkillers for my shoulder and midback. Everything in moderation. Ive gotten many people off of opiates using kratom, and then they would ease off kratom as well. I also know people that stay "high" on kratom, but that's abuse. Overall, it's a safer, natural alternative to painkillers. This is only my opinion based on personal use so be careful.

I used Kratom for years and ended up addicted to it. I thought of it as the devil that had control over me. Then around a year ago I started using fentanyl, I switched back to Kratom 8 days ago and have a new found respect for the plant. In the last year I've overdosed 6 times 2 of which were near fatal. I overdosed on my porch at 5 am and a friend just so happened to be having trouble sleeping and for some unknown reason decided to go for a walk with narcan in his backpack. He walked past my house and found me unconscious and turning blue. No one can tell me this wasn't some kind of Devine intervention. That was the last hit of Fetty I shot.

I've been taking kratom since 2013. It's incredible. The red strains (red borneo, red bali etc) completely took my anxiety away in a way that nothing else ever could. You feel this warm blanket feeling all over your body and a deep euphoria that lasts the whole day. It also really improves your cardio dramatically and helps tremendously with delaying lactic acid build up and also with recovery after a hard work out session. It's an amazing and versatile plant. Btw, it's "krah -tohm." Not "crate -em."

Kratom saved my life. I was trying to get off heroin by buying suboxone tabs off the street. I had moved away and my source screwed me. The withdrawal from suboxone was worse than heroin. I didn't sleep besides micro naps over the course of 5 days. I found out about Kratom and was able to find a place that sold it. I took 4 grams of kratom with water and all of my symptoms went away within 10 minutes. My vision wasn't blurry, body pain went away, suicidal thoughts diminished, resting heart rate went from 140 to 100.

Finding kratom was one of the best things that ever happened to me. If not for it, I would be using real drugs that bring about real disaster. Even good things are often intended in proper moderation. However, it’s still an all natural plant matter (simply ground up) that is helping millions of people live a life they never thought they would have the luxury of living. I started 2 weeks ago on 2 grams. Now i drink 4 grams. But i alternate strains and i go a couple days off each week cause i don't want to create a dependance. But it's really helping with my chronic pain. I used to be hunched over in pain, shuffling my feet...in so much pain i could barely do anything. Now i stand up straight and am working out daily to prevent and alleviate my pains by getting stronger. Use it as a tool folks and take days off so u don't create a dependance. It's wonderful. I feel like i did in my 20's and i'm 40 and have suffered with chronic pain for 15 yrs. I also have breast implant illness from leaky toxic implants that were recalled. So it's as if i have multiple auto-immune disorders that effect all my systems and many organs in my body. Since Kratom i don't feel those symptoms anymore. My cognitive function has greatly improved and i no longer need to take the numerous meds i was taking. It's a God send and not as easy to get hooked on as opiates. I used to be an opiate addict yrs ago. This is not the same feeling.

I went to a Kratom/Kava bar a few months ago because someone told me about it and I got a regular tea that they serve and that was a pleasant kind of stimulant like Joe was saying. I went back like a week later and tried the double shot they offer to see what that was like, and damn it was as if I took one too many Percocet. Definitely a nice time but can for sure see it becoming a problem with the wrong person. I don’t think it should be scheduled at all though, in fact I know it helps opioid addicts come off of whatever they’re struggling with. I’m all for it.

It depends on the color, red is relaxing, green is energetic and white is a mixture. Haven’t tried any other ones but if you take a big dose (5-6 spoonfuls in a half bottle of water or juice) it feels like a tab or perc without the harsh side effects.

The more you take kratom, the less intense the high becomes, as with everything else. That's why most people who take that much kratom say it's not a "high". Caffeine can get you really revved up as well if you haven't had it in a long time.

Not gonna lie, i went 10 days without the kratom and i when i took it i felt this feeling like no other. it was amazing. it felt so euphoric and i just cuddled up in my bed and smiled.

I'm here to say after shooting dope 10 years then I got clean and got put.on suboxone for 3 years. I finally wanted off it so I took Kratom for the withdrawals. 7 to 9 grams at a time. Im 33 days off subs but noticed opiate like mild withdrawal symptoms from the kratom. Yes it is a heady type high. But the withdrawal from kratom is real and pretty shitty.

Doctor at hospital said I was a drug addict because I said I use Kratom occasionally for pain . And it’s legal in CT. She won’t talk my phone calls .

1:53 - Take it in powder form with tea or juice and you can regulate the effect better. I used it for 2+ years and quit because it IS addictive and kills your libido - at least in my case. I was using about 1 kilo per month, and when you dose over 10 grams or so, the high is very similar to a Percocet buzz, but without the respiratory depression that scares most people about opioids (it's not an opiate - it's an opioid. BIG difference). It helped me quit drinking after 30+ years of heavy/almost daily use. Plus, it relieves anxiety and joint pain (red strain is associated with pain relief). It's helped a lot of people, so my feelings about the push to regulate it are on the side of caution. I think that it hasn't been scheduled by the DEA (yet) because the pharma companies are looking into using it as a maintenance drug that they can use to make a shit-ton of money. Hamilton Morris is a way better source of good information on this substance.

Kratom helped me get off of extremely dangerous drugs but it is extremely addictive. Mentally and physically. Just because it can’t kill you doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful for you.

When you have an opiate addiction kratom does NOT get you high. If you dont have an opiate dependency it can get you high but JR has never done smack so....

Kratom took away my severe narcotic medication withdrawals (restless leg syndrome, depression, anxiety, despair, hot and cold flashes, sleeplessness, etc) for 2-3 hours per dose. I would take up to 15 capsules at a time during the worse times. I have never had Kratom withdrawal. I can attest that Kratom was a lifesaver for me! It has never made me high, only feeling "normal". I always used Red Vein Bali.

Just started using Kratom a few weeks ago. Went from needing opiates to get out of bed, and was having one really bad day where all I could do is cry, with my husband feeling helpless. Decided to say fuck it and put some in my coffee, and 15 minutes later, my mood flipped completely and I was cleaning house. My husband tried it last night because his Tourette’s was stopping him from sleeping. He was out like a light 10 minutes later.

I take ten capsules at about 5:45 am for work since I don’t drink coffee. By 6:00 am I’m singing in the best mood stuck in traffic and ready for work. I don’t know what joe is talking about being blasted. It just helps me get the day started and gets my brain and body moving.

I take around 30 grams a day and have for over a year straight now. I split it into 10g doses 3x daily. Definitely started feeling side effects of muscle soreness and aches, constantly dehydrated, mood swings, and no energy if I miss a dose. It has so many benefits but I have an addictive personality and have seen the negative sides too it. Gives me such a sense of optimism and motivation and helps u have a positive outlook on things.

I love Rogan. And, there is nothing wrong with smoking pot. So, I find it extremely hysterical, when he says Kratom makes you, "COMPLETELY HIGH!!! But, you don't feel high. You function normally. You're movements are normal. You just feel it in your head." Like somehow that is a bad thing. When weed definitely is noticeable in people. They all move slower, talk slower, drive slower!!!, etc.... So, in the end, ironic. He is taking the wrong thing.
