The problem with student loans is at the federal government backs it. Colleges, then started raising their prices and they haven’t looked back. But once school is done, don’t overspend stay disciplined, and pay that one off fast. I did not go into a restaurant for a year. I just worked and paid off my loans and knocked out about 80 grand in 14 months. We held off from buying a house and just stayed discipline. Discipline equals freedom.

I think differently. Most business owners I know work WAY more hours than I do, and make a lot less than I do at my day job. It makes a difference who you work for, not every company is the ‘boss’ type of company. I have a boss at my job, but in reality I am never told what to do because I am professional enough to know what is expected of me every day and I do it. My company gives me that mind of freedom, not every Company is the evil corporation depicted here. If a business owner takes a day off, they make no money, I get PTO. A business owner never clocks out, at the end of my shift I don’t think about work till the next day. A business owner buys their own health insurance at a huge price, I pay a very small monthly fee next my employer has enough employees enrolled to get way better pricing than any individual. It all depends on your experience, that is mine!

The trap is getting an expensive car, expensive apartment, or a kid early on. No need for that, get a dorm or live outside the city for half the rent, get a car that’ll last you 10years or more, use contraceptives. But it is nice seeing those with technical degrees make it that it’s not a one path but not everyone makes it I know 20 artists only one has made it so far (exhibition and museum) trades they all have labor induced issues and injuries. Then the market is oversaturated with graduates hence higher application requirements for low pay. I think both are good it’s just how to go about it is what makes it successful.

Its not taken away from them its simple risk. Bro a BUNCH of people know HOW to start a buisiness but the fear of destitution, starving to death, losing any assets they currently have as collateral, ect keep a LOT of people employed. That isn't their fault most businesses fail most people literally COULDNT be business owners just based on the economy

I have been a recruiter for almost 20 years. A “job” is making profits for someone else that gets the right off’s you can’t ckaim. Health insurance YOU have to pay for, not them. And they only keep you if you make them 3x earns at the very least. When get older. You cost them more. They move the goal post just to make you leave. You know have a higher salary and heir business model is ROI. They will replace you with three 20 something year olds. Cause one will hit. Law of averages. Now they are paying them a third of what you made so their profits go up! When you have a “job” you give everything to someone else. Fuck a job!

Another alternative is join the military, go to college part time while in the military. Put money into the GI Bill program. What an elitist narrow minded perspective Rogan and Rodgers look at themselves as a the exception due to their own ability . They are the authors of the success they now have when the truth is their is a lot of randomness and just luck involved in the outcomes in life . Everyone assumes that the cream rises to the top . If you analyze success you will see that there are key moments , decisions that could of broke the other way and significantly would of changed the outcome

And it’s one of the main reasons why I don’t go to college because I find it pointless and you can make good money without a degree, Also say the same thing that they just wanted to kowtow and listen, and I refuse and everywhere I’ve worked knows that I stand up against anybody who tries to treat me poorly even the managers and owners of the business, I’ve already let them know they ain’t my boss, because of the idiom decisions and because of the way they treat people. I was never fired, and I stood up to multiple store and plant managers and told em they’re a bitch or piece of shit, even a piece of shit list, here I am still not fired.

Depends what kind of independent self-sufficient job we are talking here. Most of the time let's say the government bureaucracy is much worst than corporate beuarocracy you have to go thru to grow your business. Or the customer relationships you have to maintain might be much worse than the boss relationship you maintain. Or survive your competitors in the market is hell of the battle than surviving your colleagues to grow in the career ladder.
