Joe's custom 1972 Corvette, SickFish, just does not describe this extreme build. Everything is either plated in 24 carrot gold, chromed, polished or painted inside, outside, top to bottom!!!!!! Offered for sale at the 2020 Corvettes At Carlisle.

I may not be a big fan of high powered muscle drag car but I have big genuine respect for the owner's passion and amounts of dedication that he has put into this masterpiece!!! Absolutely love it and it really deserves its own recognition!!! This is the most genuine American car lifestyle I've ever seen so far and that's very good to encounter one, not those other usual egotistical dudes that only cares about feeding their own egos and only plays on the public highways just to get the people's attention!!!! This is how American car culture should be, not those typical cutthroats that we usually see on the night meets!!!

Very interesting insight, Llord. I full heartedly agree with you in regards to Joe's passion and craftsmanship in his incredible build. Although many build to show off, I have found most owners are like Joe, they choose and build their cars for themselves. Now, on the road, one sees many a " wannabe " trying to drive like they see experience drivers on KZfaq with bad results. These people are the ones who give most of us a black eye. Total respect for the amount of time and work. No idea how he was able to support the weight on the front. I am actually knee deep in a 383 4:71 blown 82 C3 project and room is an issue.

Just a bit of background. Joe has been married for 35 years and this project was VERY expensive. Look at all of the chrome and gold plating alone!!!!!

Hid wife problem was the noise and to be honest is ber noise. If he could make something abt the noise it would be okay. And Joe has married his wife for 32 years. So you guys should know. What a horrible wife to force this. I get he loves her but clearly can't repect him and his passion thats started before her. Well, just to play devil's advocate, Joe may have spent money needed for other necessities in life. As you see, no expense was spared in this magnificent build. It is a very hard decision, but, bottom line, a car can be built again... just with a little less gold plating!!! ( as of today: $1,868.00/oz. )

My super bee or super bird would be stock for the cost of that sexy beast he has now. I say live the smiles he has and have him get another more daily drivin. Something easy but matches what he has.
