Saying, "I wouldn't perform a gay 'wedding' ceremony, but I would attend one," is like saying, "I wouldn't rob a bank but I would drive the getaway car."

Scott Malcolm Do you follow everything in the old testament? Leviticus in particular? Because the verse about 'mankind should not lye with mankind as with womankind for it is an abomination before God ' is right after the verse about wearing mixed linens being an abomination. And the Bible does not make a distinction between one or the other being worse. Have you ever worn a polyester cotton blend? Then that's an abomination just the same. Ever shaved your beard, if you're a man? Abomination in Leviticus. Eating shellfish like shrimp and lobster? Abomination before gods eyes. Please don't be a hypocrite.

Jo Molly - All the things about food does not apply now. Because Yeshua/Jesus also said anything that goes out of a person makes them either clean/unclean, not what comes in (from the outset). All those things about hair, food, clothing was used to separate GOD's ppl which were the (original) Jew from ppl not of GOD. Now the chosen ppl of GOD/YHWH are those that follow YESHUA/Jesus†, regardless of culture, race, etc. read Revelation 7:9-15. Yeshua's teaching of (actual) love sums up the 10 Commandments which sums up all 600+ laws. As far as it concerning homosexuality, read what Yeshua said: Matthew 19 & Mark 10. "No one should split apart what GOD has joined together."

It's not God's word. It's man's word. If it's not in the Commandments or the Gospels, it was not said by God, or His Son. Homosexuality is NOT WRITTEN IN EITHER. If it was that important, He would have mentioned it. Something He did mention was loving one another. So really, we should all be going at it with anyone we love. Except cousins. That's gross.

Rick Cata Why? Is that because you say so?? Is it because some book that's been translated many times through the 2000+ years that was written by humans say so?? The book that has several pieces removed from some Christian church Bibles, but has them added in the Catholic Bible?? Or is it the various "Chosen Ones" thoughout history who thought their version of what they felt the bible means is right?? Why are there sooo many "Christian" sects out there who feel THEIR church is THE correct church...such as Jehovahs Witness, Mormonism, Catholicism, Church of Christ, etc?? They were all created by MAN. Fallable MAN. Not God. God is love, therefore anything that is not love cannot be God.

True Janey Sue the bible has been rewritten so many times by the Catholic church we don't even know whats true only what humans say,the ORIGINAL bible wasn't even written by professional writers in AD,most of the "laws" of God were lost with the arc of the Covenant so the 10 commandments we look at today were made by MAN not God so who's to say what's right and wrong like homosexuality for say,during the ruling of the Catholic church there was no separation between church and state so what the church said went and most of the people in the Catholic church hated gay people.

Let us ( speaking to Jesus, Holy Spirit and those around Him) make human beings so that they are like us (Genesis 1:26). Let's examine: What if the multitude of Christians following Jesus are on to something? Do you really want to wait and find out after your spirit has been called to leave this world and step into your eternity?

As a Christian we may have homosexual acquaintances or family members. That's a given. The moment I attend a homosexual wedding, friends or family, by my attendance alone is an affirming of that union, that's totally unbiblical. Mr Osteen should man up and say it like it is if he is to preach the truth.

Jesus Christ spent time with sinners and ate food with them, and the Pharisees were the ones that complained about it. But Jesus did not condone their sin. Christians are in the world but not of the world. A Christian might attend a gay marriage, but that doesn't mean he approves of it. Christians are a light in the darkness. I'm pretty sure one of the last places the devil wants Joel Osteen to bring his light to is at a gay marriage.

He is playing it safe. Sooner or later, he will reap the consequences of his actions. If you're saying you believe in the Bible, there should not be any exceptions based on what you perceive is "right" for you. For God's sakes you're not a politician.
@leeduon8012
@leeduon8012 8 жыл бұрын
+Chubby Luna He sorta is a politician; he's clearly primarily in it for the money, and I say that as someone who is staunchly pro-gay. In a way he's sort of a study in the dangers of attempting to split the middle in an unprincipled way.
@chubbyluna4467
@chubbyluna4467 8 жыл бұрын
Lee Duon I agree. But why preach the Bible in your church and later contradict its teachings in public? This maybe one of the reasons why many abandon their faith for another because the leader is weak. For the love of money is the root of all evils. He is truly disappointing. I used to read some of his books.
@leeduon8012
@leeduon8012 8 жыл бұрын
+Chubby Luna I think that if you find inspiration in some of what he has to say, you should be able to keep that without having to be beholden to his character as a whole.
@chubbyluna4467
@chubbyluna4467 8 жыл бұрын
Lee Duon Well maybe. But still, consistency and integrity is the key. If you start contradicting yourself then you subject yourself to mockery and people will start to doubt you. As a leader, you don't want that to happen because consequences can be devastating. Look at what happened to Jimmy Swaggart. After the sex scandal, things never was the same again. Even if he apologised, there was no turning back because trust was lost. Another is Ted Haggard where he fell into homosexuality. Though he admitted it publicly, his church crumbled like a deck of cards and there was no turning back.
@leeduon8012
@leeduon8012 8 жыл бұрын
+Chubby Luna But why? I would argue that both Swaggart and Haggard were obvious frauds who relied on a kind of personal charisma rather than an anchor to their beliefs. Once that is exposed for what it is, it becomes unsustainable to rely on that kind of person for further moral instruction. I would juxtapose that with someone like Pat Robertson, who I think both deeply believes and financially profits, and moreover with someone like one's local street corner pastor, who acts from faith with little to no profit. I think you probably won't agree with me, but I would argue that Haggard probably is simply a gay man who sought out a dissociative sexual relationship because he couldn't openly have the kind of meaningful romantic relationship that he was wired for. I could begin to trust someone like that if they owned that their attraction was something that persisted in spite of their faith; a Haggard who chose abstinence or who at the very least admitted that it was not merely some kind of temptation to be "prayed away" would be a person I would at least suspect was telling the truth. To my knowledge he has never done that.

It kills me when people will say that they are against something and then in the same breath say that if they were invited to a gay wedding they would go. I have a friend who practices that lifestyle and while we are friends that person knows full well not to ask me to attend a union that God clearly is against. If I were Joel I would have said that if that person was a friend who respected my values and my position to God, they would never even dare to ask or send an invitation unless they don't mind an unequivocal "no". At some point when you don't share the same values, you will part ways and that's true for anybody who practices something that goes against your own values, morals and beliefs. People are so full of it, let your "NAY" be "NAY" and your "Yay be "YaY". I don't have a problem with letting people know where I stand, and double dog dare you to come for me. We are playing with fire in this nation and sooner or later we are going to pay a heavy price for our rebellion.

(Malachi 3:6) I the Lord do not Change..." God does not care what the "Modern World" does. Joel Osteen should have quoted the Bible (1 John 2:15-17) "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the World, the lusts of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, and pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the World. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever." If Joel Osteen can not back up his word with scripture what is the point of him saying anything for he is just a man? But Scripture is the Living Word of God.

It boils down to this: Are you as a Christian going to defend Scripture which never changes or are you going to defend the world which constantly changes with the times? There are only two choices: You either love God or you hate God. There are no in-betweens. You can't stand in the murky middle. Those who try are really the ones who hate God by that action. Just reading all the comments shaming Joel really upsets me. Joel is the most Christian person I have ever heard comment on homosexuality. He explicitly states that while he does not agree to it or condone it he can still respect these people as afterall, we can only let god be our judge. He is doing exactly what Jesus wants Christians to do, to not have to understand, agree or condone, but to respect and 'love thy neighbour'. I'm really sick of this self-righteous Christian sub-culture that I am 100% sure Jesus would not condone and that he worked very hard to be against. He stated that the old testament is irrelevant and that he, Jesus, will teach us the right path and yet here I am seeing a bunch of idiots bring up old testament scripture. You really shouldn't call yourselves Christians as you are followers of the Bible and not followers of Christ.

nswarrior I'm a gay married man. I think I'm helped enough as I have a successful and happy relationship. The right course as a follower of Christ is to actually follow Christ and accept people for their diversity. We have thousands of religions out there and I personally don't care what people choose to believe in. What Joel is doing is being a worldly person and accepting that there will always be a variety of beliefs whether you agree to them or not. Don't force your opinion because YOUR god might say something but another person's god might say something else and you are no more right or wrong than the next person. Not until we die will we have our answers so rather than live in a world where we can't accept that people are allowed to live their lives with religions and beliefs separate to your own, state your opinion, yes, but don't judge a person's character based on where you disagree - that's childish. How awful would it be if we had doctors and psychologists judging people before they get to know them? If we can't trust a professional who judges us on personal things why should we trust ordinary people who do the same?

nswarrior You must have missed 50% of my post. No where did I mention what kind of Christian I am. But also understand there are other faiths such as hinduism and Buddhism which do not condemn the homosexual 'lifestyle' which really isn't a lifestyle. I'm not on some new diet. If I believed that God wanted me to stop being gay I would, only I don't believe God wants me to. My God is different to your God and there is no way in saying whose God is more correct. We can argue over the Bible but it's been re-written by the Vatican and the Puritans many many times. The word homosexual never appeared in the Bible until the mid 1900's infact. For that reason, I treat my religion as not a rule book, but a guideline. Besides, who am I hurting? No one. What I do with my life is personal and my own business as much as your life is personal and your own, but even despite our differences and disagreements my faith and religious beliefs as well as my own personality as a human being wouldn't lead me to dislike you or to disrespect you. I get annoyed at the pro-gay crowd who hound on and attack people with different opinions. I just wish for a future where we can put our differences aside and have respect for each other. I'm sure Christ would want us to come together as a collective, respectful community first and let us turn to scripture personally when we need help.

Sir, you are a not a Christian at all. It is not God's will that you have sex with another man any more than it is his will for you to have sex with a farm animal. If you are sincere about wanting to please God than be obedient to Him. Followers of Christ are supposed to bare witness to the truth. It is no witness at all to be a practicing homosexual and say you are a believer. It brings shame on the Body of Christ. Repent(change the way you think) before it is too late, or you will pay the price for living such an ungodly lifestyle.
@gavrilapolovinkin3682

nswarrior I'm fine with you not believing I'm a Christian because after all your judgement doesn't matter. And my partner is in the military - a whole lot of no sex happening. Difference between him and a farm animal is that we are consenting, loving adults. I think there may be more of a problem with you since you seem to first think about my sex life than my love life. I want to please my God, not your God. And I will pay the price that God has for me whether it be heaven, hell, nothingness or reincarnation - we will never actually know until judgement, so in this life I will continue living how I believe is right which is not harming anyone or even breaking any laws. You can have your opinion, but understand there are opinions alternate to yours. If you believe that being gay is a sin, then you have a responsibility to not be gay. I on the other hand don't - so in my faith, in my interpretation of scripture and Christ, I won't perceive it as sin. As society changes, so will Christianity - unless you still believe that slavery should be legal, people should be killed for wearing clothes of mixed fibers and that people should be stoned to death for adultery. While you hold onto your belief of what Christianity is, in 20 years it will shift - it's why we have so many dominions (Church of England, Protestant, Orthodox etc)

+Sandra A The fact that you just used the word "Hate" makes me disappointed in you. I think you are getting it wrong. As a follower of Christ we are supposed to show love and respect to each other no matter who we are. What do people expect him to do? I mean is he supposed to say I hate gays and think they are disgusting? Thats not right and that is not what God wants us to do. We are supposed to ACCEPT them and LOVE them just as we would eachother. That doesn't mean we think it is right, but we are all sinners. God LOVES the sinner and for that he provided a way out of sin, but how can they do that if the church hates them? As far as the invitation to the wedding... well let me say this. If a man and a woman were getting married and you attending it would be just the same as attending a gay wedding. The reason why? because ALL SIN IS THE SAME. There is not good sin or bad sin or alright sin. Its ALL bad and ALL is equally bad. Being homosexual is just as bad as lying or stealing or judging.

When I say accept I don't mean like accept their sin and you know be like "Oh no your fine your going to heaven" because obviously thats not true. I mean accept them as people. If we want them to give their souls to Christ we as their Christian brothers and sisters should not condem them to hell and be hateful to them because if their sin. It all starts with love. If they can see that we are not evil people and that we are loving the way God was then that is what gets them to question us and curious about God. In the bible Jesus ate in the house of zachias (not sure if thats spelled right) yet he was a theif, cheat and liar. But Jesus said you are a son of God and despite your sin I will sit in your house and eat with your family. Because of this kindness that no one had shown zachias before he began to change and re pay the people he cheated. We need to take examples like that from God to show them we are all sinners, but we can help eachother as best we can come closer to God.

***** What are the connotations for those laws you're referring to Aiden?
@jleigh2413
@jleigh2413 10 жыл бұрын
Ah ok good because you are correct, Leviticus does contain pretty much all of the laws from the Bible. Of which there are 3 categories of laws: 1-Ceremonial 2-Civil and 3-Moral. They're pretty distinguishable and it's generally very easy to tell which one's belong where. As you stated before The Bible depicts Jesus as coming to fulfill the law not do away with it. And the law to which Jesus was referring is the ceremonial laws (and for reference the ceremonial laws are abstaining from certain foods, circumcision, sacrifices for sins etc.) But after Jesus' death which is known to be the final sacrifice, we no longer have to abide by those laws since they were to guide the Jewish people in their worship of God. But Jesus came for all, Jew and Gentile, and I not being a Jew and believing that Christ did that, am no longer held to those laws. That's the explanation for why there are certain laws in Leviticus that modern Christians no longer adhear to. Speaking on the law of the Sabbath, which is part of the 10 commandments, therefore it is not abolished; but it says to rest and keep the sabbath holy, Jesus speaks on it in Luke 6 in which he says at one point “I ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?” And basically what he's saying is that while we should rest from work, that does not mean ALL necessary work. I for one would never forbid a doctor to heal a patient just because it was the sabbath day. but I work a minimum wage job and i do ask for Sundays off. There used to be laws about companies/stores not being open on Sundays but sadly society has changed from that, but that was their individual decisions. As for your question on stoning etc. that was part of the civil law, which addressed how the society should govern themselves. They are laws that are not applicable in today's society. The reason being is that pre-Jesus' coming the people of God were the Israelites. In other words the people of God were determined by an ethnic group or their geographical location. *Now* the people of God are no longer an ethnic group, but rather their common faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible instructs people to follow those who are in authority over them and, being under the authority of the law today saying stoning is not an acceptable form of punishment toward someone who breaks a law, if someone were to approach me and ask if I were going to participate in a stoning I would ultimately refuse. I understand it does appear quite confusing but like other things it does take some studying with the intent of actually learning something, but I hope I've explained it as clearly as possible and I hope you're reasonable enough to see where I'm coming from. If not, I'll be happy to try and clarify.

I believe people like Piers just want to prod and poke til they get the answer they want. Joel said several times that he's against the sin of homosexuality b/c its against Scripture, and would not perform any type of homosexual ceremony. His heart, though, is not against anyone because Joel is not their judge. God is not against anyone either, and salvation is available to everyone. But when a person receives the Lord as their personal Savior, He loves them too much to leave them in any type of sin, and wants to transform that person into the image of Christ. Its just sad how some are wanting to take a small statement of Joel's and title a video with it just to question his integrity as a leader of a very successful church.

I can list a multitude of Scriptures, basically the whole New Testament, for folks like Hagee, Larry and Tiz Huch, Stone, Marcus Lamb and all the other Dispensational Zionists, who diminish and belittle the Church of the Lord Jesus in favor of some fanciful future kingdom in Jerusalem, Israel. The Lord Jesus received His Kingdom (Acts 2), and certainly does not need their senseless dribble about identifying "antichrist", what's the "mark of the beast" going to be, and a future "great tribulation". Each of these can be specifically seen in Scripture, from an authentic and historic interpretation. Hagee, in particular, with his aforementioned book, is particularly heinous. This is the logical conclusion to Dispensationalism - that Jesus was not or failed to be the Messiah. Its as if they have elevated the nation of Israel to a place that's almost their god. I've yet to hear anything this egregious from Joel.

You do what you choose to do, and you follow who, and what you choose to follow. But, remember His 1st Commandment "Thou Salt Have No Other Gods Before Me". And let us not forget, Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help mate. 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. In layman's terms, God created Adam and Eve, NOT Adam and Steve. Wake up non-believing sheeple.

Nope, not at all. I didn't say that they were good at anything, except making a fortune selling their version of the Word of God. What I am saying is that they are not true Christians. There is only one true Word, and it ain't what they portray to those who follow them. The Word of God is not to be sold for a profit. It would be more accurate to say that they are closer to being like the "sodomites" from the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. They are a perfect example of the "deceivers" that would come to us in Jesus' name after His death, and Resurrection. Jesus spoke of them just before He was crucified.

Olsteen is being political with the things of God. He found a formula to create a huge church and he's not going to let truth jeopardize that. He doesn't want LBTG going after him. So, he takes the apparently safe road. He does that with other doctrines and biblical thought. If I was Osteen, I'd be very concerned about Matt 7:21-23: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

If I don't, I would be accepting their sin. I accept and love them, but I cannot partake of their sin. By this preacher attending a gay wedding of people he loves because they're friends, he's encouraging them in their sin. How is doing that, loving them? Can you explain?

9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people- 10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler-not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church[b] whom you are to judge? 13 God judges[c] those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” That comes from 1 Corinthians 5:9-13. Basically saying that we should not associate with the immoral, yet not necessarily all immoral people because that would entail everyone on the planet. It says "those who take up the name of brother" meaning those who call themselves Christian, yet are not living it out. If this couple getting married were from his church, and claiming to be followers yet obviously not living it out, according to scripture, he should refrain from attending the wedding. And that does not mean "hate them"; just because he doesn't go to their wedding doesn't mean he detests them. What Joel needs to learn is that he shouldn't be so wrapped up in being "politically correct" to avoid stepping on anyone's toes. Truly following Jesus is going to make some people angry. Jesus' teachings were so controversial that the Pharisees were up in arms about it and plotted to have him crucified. Jesus spoke Truth, not simply what people wanted to hear.

John the Baptist did preach Repentance, and John the Baptist is a good example of a preacher for this example because he came up against Herod for marrying his brother's wife. He didn't say to Herod, its wrong but I am not here to point it out, I am not here to address it up close and personal, that is not my job, I prefer to believe what I believe and leave it up to the individual to do as they want, and if Herod and his wife want to belong to my following, he will be received as is and can continue in his lifestyle. The problem with Joel is he likes HIS lifestyle, getting people to continue to grow in his congregation so he can enjoy the contribution aspect, and preach the diluted message, and in the end he thinks that when that soul goes to hell, he somehow is not responsible for leading people down a blind alley. You ARE responsible because you did not preach that this is a Sin that DOES lead to an eternity of separation from God. If those people are attending your Church, or are following you as a Pastor, you have to tell them this because in Matt. 22:37 the question posed is What is the Greatest Commandment in the Law, and that is to Love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and you cannot serve God, serving sin at the same time, your body is a Temple of God, NOT to be defiled, and they will not be with God for it in the end, and what it comes down to is either you Love God, or you love your Sin.

WHICH? Bible Believers are intent on bringing people back to the Dark Ages. Christ Lord never came to bring Religion, he addressed that to the Pharisees. He came to set the captives free from the World System which is under Satan's Kingdom. He said MY Kingdom is NOT of this world. Satan did show Christ LORD his kingdoms on the Mount of Temptation. Those who profess Christ as their Redeemer, are purchased with a price and are reborn to His Spirit and are promised much more than you can imagine as to any past or present age EVER had to show you. It is the religion of Islam, which is far removed from Christianity, because they are on the script of the Antichrist Spirit, not the Spirit of Truth as Christ Lord said He IS. You can't come to the forum to speak with no knowledge. You have to know what God said before you criticize. This world is temporal, the Kingdom of God to come is Everlasting. Good Bible teachers are out there for anyone who has an ear for Truth, as Christ Lord said he who has an ear, let him hear. Christ Lord said I AM the Truth, and you have to love Truth, to walk in Truth, that is why reading and knowing the Word of God arms you that knowledge so you know what is of Truth and what is of the Liar, without that knowledge you are threading on enemy territory with no protection against the evil entity that comes to Kill, rob, and destroy. That is why we are told to put on the WHOLE ARMOR of God, and google it to know what that armor is, because without it, you do fall to the enemy, Satan.

IAN STRANGE Well that is your problem, how much time and effort have you invested to read and study the Scripture. Zero. So you are speaking from a blind spot, and that is the problem. God said MY PEOPLE perish for lack of knowledge. You have to take a vacation away from yourself to discover God, many people don't want to do that because the prophesy reads in the latter day, people will be lovers of themselves, and Satan roams the earth looking for those who travel down his road. Good teachers, I am not going to say perfect but those who stay within the Truth of the Word, , but good enough. Check out Chuck Missler, John Macarthur, and there are some good other teachers to seek, before you jump into the fire of ignorance as your declaration puts you. Through the Bible with Les Feldick is a basic start. So much to know, but know this, that Christ Lord did come down from Heaven to ransom you, purchased you with a price by His suffering and atonement for your sins, and He gives you His Cloak of Righteousness and sets you free from the two curses that entered into the world Sin and Death,. He nailed your sin to the Cross, put His blood on it, washed it away. He rose over the grave so that you can also, through His Victory over Death. Do not fear He said the First Death, it is the Second Death, which is Spiritual Death. All that is required of you is your Faith that He did it, and say Christ Lord Come into my Heart, reveal your Truth, and set me free, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. That is all that is required from you. But how many proud people do not make even a small step towards that Faith.

The fact that a homosexual couple is trying to get married means they're not "struggling" with their sin, they're actually living by it, and Joel, by attending, is not building a bridge to make them come to Christ, but rather for him to move away from Christ along with them. A marriage is a celebration, if you attend a celebration is to CELEBRATE with everyone else, and if he's against same-sex marriage then he should not celebrate it. I respect the fact that he's not afraid to say that homosexuality is a sin, because you can see and hear that he truly believes it, yet he's not being consistent with Scripture, and indeed contradicts them, by saying he'd go to show respect to a person he appreciates. If you love or respect anyone more than you respect Christ, you're not worthy of being a disciple of Jesus.

Joel Osteen, this so-called great communicator, cannot get through a sentence without uttering the phrase: "you know." He stutters and trips over himself as he tries to appease both sides of this issue. This is what happens when a pastor is not grounded in the Word of GOD.

Revelation 3 : 16-17 "So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked."

I can see how this is wishy washy ... you can hold your ground and say you wont marry due to the word of god marriage between a man or a woman , but since if you had a gay friend would attend their marriage if invited leaves a hidden message or misguided message... God said he hates luke warm .. your either in or your out ... very clear cut , straight talk.

I think i understand what he's saying here. It's only because supposedly 2 gay people are very dear ones to them will he attend a marriage. It would draw in a lot of media attention if that happened but yes at least he made it clear he WOULDN'T marry 2 gay people, It's like perhaps Jesus when he ate with the publicans and tax collectors did he get a lot of "publicity" from those who are jealous and meant him bad, but HE'S come not for the unrighteous as He said. It's hard to draw the line, Jesus had to be there to establish a relationship, a friendship.

JESUS ate with the worldly sinners on HIS terms, not theirs. Scripture makes that clear. It's only the watered-down seeker-sensitive types that think otherwise. Why is that? Because lots of dollars are at stake.

I think the main problem here is that Joel Olsteen is very busy always trying not to offend anyone, what he does is spend way too much time trying to be positive saying only positive words and never anything that he thinks is negative. If he spent more time in the WORDS OF GOD, he'd know that in going to a gay wedding, also clearly goes against scripture.. u don't use your "feel- good-index" to make life choices. Its called Fellowship with darkness, or FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD.

scottty500 based upon God as my judge. So let us all stop disrespecting each other and stop committing the sin of playing God and let God be our judge. When Jesus ate with the 'sinners' (they were outcasts not sinners), he showed them respect and love and told them that change may better suit them, but in a world of hate they still had the love and hospitality of Christ. Christ has unconditional love and he will save you of your sins if you be like him and love thy neighbour. There are so many religions formed from the Bible with so many interpretations we can't judge others on their 'sin'. We will only know when we meet God after we die.

To go to a “gay marriage” is to agree that it’s a marriage. It is not a marriage. God instituted marriage and said it’s between a man and a woman. If you want to call it a partnership, ok. But it’s not a marriage in God’s eyes and it’s blasphemy to say it is! 😳
