I had all those accessories when I was 16, but part of that was from working and using the money for them as they were released, others were from gifts from family since I had no siblings. Yes, it was expensive, but without siblings, and being a working teenager allowed me to get them all.

Not at all, my parents were far from being very wealthy but they both worked very hard to make sure me and my brothers and sisters had stuff like this, we all grew up very grateful and knowing that if you want nice things you have to work hard for them just as I do for my kids now.

My ultimate NES is actually two NESs: one a top-loader from 1993. But the other older one is nice too. I still have fun with them to this day every once in a while and I no longer need to get them drunk or high. Also, you forgot the Power Pad.

@@Zentsey90% of the issues with an NES are the connector pins. It’s less than $10 to get a replacement and requires no soldering to install. For the price I got my NES from an online thrift store, I could have bought 7 or 8 of these connectors and still not paid as much as they charge.
