I started watching your videos regarding peek-a-boo, thinking about how i thought you looked and sounded a little like elvis in mannerism for some unknown reason. Now i see you're an elvis fan. Wish i had the nerve to learn boxing. I have such social anxiety. Any pointers to break myself out of my own self restricting social/mental limits.

I always wondered, being a former world heavyweight champion and also the youngest one, why didn't Mike Tyson start coaching boxing and teaching the peekaboo style like you and Rooney ?
@IskurBlast5 жыл бұрын
What about unpinning the right foot? Ive seen that a lot of the hardest crosses the fighter doesn't just drive off of the right to open the hips they completely bring it off the mat in their follow through. Like a baseball picture.

Is peek a boo recommended for taller fighters?? 6’5ish ? Or is it giving away the advantage of height and reach ?
@michadebicki65345 жыл бұрын
I think that the peek a boo is best suited for short to average fighters. When using this style u need to bob and weave a lot, I mean A LOT, use your head movement footwork, be elusive with it. I do not think that a tall fighter will be enough versatile in it. It's also style suited for close to mid range combat while tall fighter must learn how to "fight tall", utilize reach advantage. Pee ka boo would be only an obstacle for such a fighter.

Hello joey my name is carlos I am an inspiring heavyweight boxer who is heavily influenced by cus d mato . There is nothing else i can see my self doing but i need to make my mind up as i turned 18 and i must either go to college(and major in something idk what) or pursue this dream of mine. I have read his book to learn he mentality now it's just a matter of physically training I am self trained but I'm decent I just need some guidance as Noone I know teaches the peek a boo style . Maybe we can talk and give me some advice and hopefully I can go to this gym of yours.

Im not a boxer but how do you not pivot your foot when throwing a cross? Thats just natural isn’t it?
@NJFraney3 жыл бұрын
You would think but some people do not rotate through the foot. It’s a full body motion and some people short change it and only rotate the torso. Power comes from the hips.

Peek a boo isnt a cover up... The hands are close to you only for fast movements... So, in street fight this work... The weak point of this style is if your opponent know how to kick or grapple
