I thought Sam Cooke was talented and he had some great hits, but Johnny Taylor was a legend and I loved his songs. I could listen to Johnny Taylor all night.some of his songs had some deep meaning to it. Like ( Stop dogging me around, I Believe in you, Try me tonight, Running out of lies.Jody got your girl and gone,) what an amazing man he was. Yes his music will live on forever. REST IN PEACE J.T. I loved Johnny Taylor. I grew up listening to him on radio at an early age and later became a radio announcer and played his music. As a blues concert promoter, I booked him several times in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was on my radio show to promote the hit songs Good Love and Last Two Dollars. I attended his funeral in Dallas alone with gospel radio personality Miles Harshaw. Johnny Taylor is one of the greatest singers of all times. He is truly missed. Lloyd “Sir Lloyd” Huskey

I remember my ex brother n' law used to play Johnie Taylor's song " I don't wanna lose you" " every time he would see .y Sister this was when they were engaged way back in 1971. Whenever I hear that song I think of them They got married and had two kids. A son and a daughter. Even though later on in life they got divorced however their son had about 5 children and their daughter had around 6 children. Yes Johnnie Taylor really had a lot of hits that will always be treasured.
