Alot of People don't know that Mr Taylor was the Eulogy Speaker at Otis Redding's Funeral in 1967. They are together now singing in Heaven. RIP GENTLEMEN.

I am a big Johnny Taylor fan, because he had a voice that would make your heart ♥️ jump a beat. I thought Sam Cooke was talented and he had some great hits, but Johnny Taylor was a legend and I loved his songs. I could listen to Johnny Taylor all night.some of his songs had some deep meaning to it. Like ( Stop dogging me around, I Believe in you, Try me tonight, Running out of lies.Jody got your girl and gone,) what an amazing man he was. Yes his music will live on forever. REST IN PEACE J.T. You will never be forgotten ✝️🙏💕

I loved Johnny Taylor. I grew up listening to him on radio at an early age and later became a radio announcer and played his music. As a blues concert promoter, I booked him several times in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was on my radio show to promote the hit songs Good Love and Last Two Dollars. I attended his funeral in Dallas alone with gospel radio personality Miles Harshaw. Johnny Taylor is one of the greatest singers of all times. He is truly missed. Lloyd “Sir Lloyd” Huskey

I remember my ex brother n' law used to play Johnie Taylor's song " I don't wanna lose you" " every time he would see .y Sister this was when they were engaged way back in 1971. Whenever I hear that song I think of them They got married and had two kids. A son and a daughter. Even though later on in life they got divorced however their son had about 5 children and their daughter had around 6 children. Yes Johnnie Taylor really had a lot of hits that will always be treasured.

When the preacher ask the congregation to stick to the program and not turn the service into a concert, I was disappointed because MUSIC WAS JOHNNY TAYLOR'S WORLD!! If we had to listen the whole service listening to his dry monotone voice. JT impacted millions of course millions wanted to share in this homegoing. If the family did not want this type of expression, they should have kept it Private.

I don't think that he sang anything that i did not like. Saw him in concert one time got a hug, and a autograph on a 65 dollar purse i was carrying. I will keep that purse for the rest of my life. 65 dollars was a lot then. But I though JTs autograh was worth way way more.

She probably wasn’t on the program to sing just to talk for a couple of minutes. When I die my wishes is to let whoever say or do whatever. Don’t cut NOBODY OFF! Usually the people they be cutting off are the ones who really knew and loved the departed. They could have let that woman finish that verse. Just tacky

I think they should have had more people that he worked with madevtalks and let one of them sing a solo instead of all them just running up singing ,for me for it to have been for a person like Johnnie Taylor ,the old funeral was kind of tacky, looks like it would have been better planned.@@letmesing6868
