I don't recall John Candy ever playing a mean spirited character. All of his characters were funny, friendly, and down to Earth. A sad loss but at least we still have the memories.

John Candy was the real deal. He captured my attention back in the day with SCTV. When he hit the big screen with his talent he truly shined. Since he died I have yet to see anyone else have his special gift. He could truly make me laugh and in some moments make me cry. R.I.P. John and keep them laughing above.

When he says "What you see is what you get" in 7:26 he sounds so sincere and I bet he, John Candy, really was that way. A 1-derful actor with so much God-given talent who mastered his craft, he enjoyed his work so much that it didn't seem like he was working at all, and that permeates to us. I will never tire of having fun with his movies and I suppose you all feel the same. Maybe his drive to leave us that amazing collection of great performances in such a little period, as if he knew his time among us was limited, was what eventually killed him when he was only 43. Blessings from San Juan PR
