It was.. If you go to his show or watch him.. You best have the same laughter he does.. I can see how some would be offended and sure need parents to adopt kids.. I have a Chinese niece and my brother law and sister was led to adopt her.. But when he stated, " Adopt a kid from Kansas..?" I laughed too.. Our kids now that need adopting in the US are often and sadly drug addicted . ❤

We tried to adopt some kids with Hispanic heritage (we're white) - they were from Texas as were we - and we knew more Spanish than them and that was sort of a fun thing we joked about. We had a great support group. Saved our lives!!! And I was adopted as well in Texas. Back in the day they tried to match you up with families of similar heritage. Not so much now.

Texas representin!! My oldest two children's (twins) father was adopted out of Louisiana by a Texas couple. I used to tell my kids Troy Landry from Swamp People was their granddaddy. Odd that people questioned if they were Mexican when they were small. They had golden olive complexions and tanned unbelievably well. My husband (who passed away last year) was Hispanic and had hazel eyes. He was only brown on the areas that got sun. Total farmer's tan type thing. His mom's family was from Mexico and his dad's family was from Spain. His two oldest kids are definitely Mexican. Our two are whiter than I am, I mean pale. They both had blue eyes and my daughter's still are (at 25). We always joked that since she sounds so country that she was our little Hickspanic. Our family portrait when the kids were young was the epitome of a Heinz 57 family. We almost adopted a friend's little boy who was a few weeks older than our daughter. He was black/white. We could just imagine what people would have said about our family then. We didn't care. Didn't matter what color our kiddos were, they were ours and we loved them.

I think what I love and appreciate about your comedy is that you let yourself be yourself. It’s obvious you’re flying by the seat of your pants sometimes….and you do it so well. You live unafraid and unashamed and you make us all laugh out loud. (P.S. I’m an older mom….five adult kids….and was myself adopted. My mom doesn’t get any major awards though; she didn’t even go out of state to get me! 😂)

@@purselmer5931 statistics show that a significant percentage of adopted children develop ADD/ADHD and can have a reactive disorder. Meaning even if the child is loves and well cared for and this is the only family they know, they can become combative, rebellious and not feel connected to the family. Then if your kid is not the same ethnicity as you then you deal with ignorant people say "that kid isn't yours." That actually happened to me. So besides all the typical normal child behavior you throw in the potential psychological effects of adoption and you got yourself a full hand. Been there. It's hard as hell. Glad these ladies found each other and had a good time out.

@@kristinewithak3616 Thanks. My brother and sister-in-law adopted 3 kids - first 2 from same mom (different dad) and third not related in any way. They raised these kids w/absolutely no bounderies or parental guidance to speak of. When the first one got into a fist tight in elementary school, it was the "school's" fault and from then on they "taught" the kids from online programs that they were allowed to blow off. The first two were drug-addicted street workers as teenagers who had both run away from home and couldn't be found (unless they were breaking into their family home to steal what they could when no one was home). The adopted parents' reason the first two had turned out that way? "Just like their biological mother." The third one's not an adult yet, and not sure how that one's fairing, although I have my guesses. But, I have more than my fair share of biological children, and they're not a picnic either. Blessings to you and your family!

@@linzers8894 Sometimes I wonder how adoptive parents deal with the wounds and baggage of the kids they adopt. It must always kind eat at the kids to know that their biological parents didn't want them or that they can't live a normal family life.
@fusemore1059
@fusemore1059 Жыл бұрын
@@thunderthumbz3293 first off this was an extremely ignorant comment. I can’t even dissect the amount of ignorant things that you said but bio parents not wanting them is not the situation most of the times. And the “behavior” issues and all that other bull you said is a stereotype and really depends on the age of the child and trauma issues. Adopted children usually go on to live very normal lives and have kids of their own. As an adopted child allow me to say you really are as ignorant as they come
