I like these movies where the ground is soft and easy to work. Now put that tractor in some clay mixed with rocks and topsoil. I want to see it actually work.

This is how you take a classic John Deere 140 and turn it into a larger tractor . This is what happened when you have More money than sense . It was a John Deere 140 and now it is a everyday tractor that anyone can but to this day .

It's so funny watching the guy who's plow is filled with bean stubble,,he looks around,,see's the plug, and just keeps going, his plow is barely is deep enough now to turn the dirt,yet he doesn't stop to unplug the plow,,just keeps driving along as if the plow will unplug itself,,lol!!

Whats the point of duals on one side if single is enough on the other? Maybe if you can lock the diff but otherwise seams pointless, the single will slip first.

why does he have a dual missing?
@samuellarson57267 жыл бұрын
Having duels on the right would compact the soil
@questionnation17 жыл бұрын
i know but it doesnt even look like there is an extension to out it on.
@jacksonk53087 жыл бұрын
Jacob, I would say that the extension is probably on the other dual. I can't tell you for certain but that's my guess. If you have the money to custom build one of these things you wouldn't leave something as important as an equal amount of duals out of it.
@jaykipfer74276 жыл бұрын
The reason for only having a dual on the left side is because the right wheel is in the furrows, if I had a dual on the right side it would be in the dirt that I had already plowed. Plus the dual on the left gives me extra traction on that side . Does that answer your question Jacob ?

Beaches it helps him plow and gives the tractor support this crew to g a better furrow and it is less likely to get stuck if he put duals on the other side the tractor would push the dirt back into the furrow

No till is the way to go, folks. When you till, you destroy millions of beneficial microbes in the soil, plus erosion is a huge problem. Going organic is also a great idea for the same reason. I don't think farmers realize how much soil they lose every year to erosion, making the field less productive. Then they need more and more fertilizer, which kills off soil microbes even further. Topsoil in the US used to be 12" deep or more, in some areas. Today it's around 4" or less in many areas. Pretty sad. I highly recommend farmers read the following book: "Teaming With Microbes," by Jeff Lowenfels and Wayne Lewis. It will definitely change they way you think about soil and farming. It really gets into soil science and how we are destroying the soil we grow crops in. You can pick up a copy of that book on Amazon.com, or Thriftbooks.com. Many libraries have the book, as well.
