Had a demonstration at Von Bergen's Country Market during their customer appreciation day. Started picking corn the set up the 43 sheller for everyone to see how it was done in the 50's and 60's. Thanks for watching!

Great demo. That sheller really does have a high capacity sheller processing chamber. From what I remember, the machine often had some small part needing repair but it was fairly simple to patch / weld and keep it running.

I love it!! Great clip!! I think it would be so neat to see a John Deere D running the sheller.

We always used a barge box with a hoist. I was wondering how well eat corn comes off of a gravity box Nice job on the video and the demo Full watch and a thumbs up 👍

Gravity boxes work much better, and, i started with the old barge boxes. I also put a hydraulic motor on the elevator, that way i could use the tractor pulling th e wagons to run it. Just plug in the two hoses and go, no PTO shafts, no second tractor, and, wthout the other tractor in the way, more room to move around in a tight place.

@@tractortalkwithgary1271 Funny thing is, I never got around to putting it on my grain auger, it just slipped on i think with a couple of bolts to hold it in place, There must have been some reason I never did that.

What model john deere is running the Schaller? Does the Schaller blow the grain into the wagon?
@Deandeere40202 жыл бұрын

Why do all those old shellers always put more shelled corn on the ground than they put on the wagon or in the bag.
