Thanks so much for the video. I just bought a mower with the bagger and couldn't figure out how to mount the bagger. After watching your video I found the missing bracket for the bags. Thanks again.

I had a 7 bushel Power-Flow collector on my X590 and then upgraded to the 3 bag, 14 bushel collector. Primary reason being is that I have a lot of customers who like their grass collected. Also, once the hopper assembly is worn in, the blower is strong enough to push the hopper open around the rubber isolator material and it spews material out. Especially annoying when trying to clean up leaves. The 3 bag hopper has a heavy duty latch that doesn't budge.

Thanks for the info, it does a good job for what i have used it for and hopefully it will last a long time since I don't bag a lot. Thanks again for watching!!

I just purchased an X5 84 with the bagging system. Complete it was about $1600 which included $220 of dealer labor to install it $500 more than what I paid for it 6 years ago

Great video, simple and easy to follow explanation, just got the 14 bushel bagger. Do need weights on the front to balance the load though.

Very nice, i was wondering how much the power flow was these days. I have the same system on my older GT235 and I think it was about $1200 back then. My only problems with it is it "leaks" clippings, so i had added bungee cords on both sides to help hold the lid down tight.
@joshslawnlandscape9935 Жыл бұрын
Man, sorry I missed this comment🤦. This bagger was about $1100 when purchased so prices are about the same it seems. I didn't get a lot of blow out from around the bags, but that could've developed later on I guess.

I know you can remove the bags easily. I am not sure about the cover part honestly, without taking the whole rear bracket off. I sold the bagging unit a while back so I couldn't look to check anymore.

Just watched your review on the John Deere power flow bagger of which I have 2. I was hoping to find an alternative for the latch assembly that holds the chute to the power flow. I'm 71 and have no where enough hand strength to remove that latch. Wondering if anyone has an alternative?
@joshslawnlandscape993511 ай бұрын
I don't know of an alternative. I have sold the unit. Wonder if there might be a way to swap it for a bungee cord that has a little less tension on it🤔🤷. Just a thought...hope you can get that figured out💪👍

I have Bermuda, I have a D140 mower. I’m planning on upgrading to a better mower. I’m been using a yard sweeper, it just takes so long going back over what you just mowed. My Bermuda is so thick I have to pick up the clippings. How does this system work on just grass. I don’t have much leaves at all.

I have used it on some grass and it does a solid job in my opinion. I am going to be selling mine just because I havent used it as much as I thought I would. Thanks for watching!!

Thank you for such a great video, how difficult was it to install the dual belt pully, and did you have to remove the mower deck to do that?
@joshslawnlandscape9935 Жыл бұрын
Thanks. It wasn't bad. You can remove the nut that holds the pulley on (on the top) with a large ratchet or an impact. Then just reinstall the double pulley. You don't have to remove the deck.

Can you describe the total increase in overall dimensions? Looks like it might be 12” wider and 18” longer than it was without the bagger installed?
@joshslawnlandscape99352 жыл бұрын
Yea I would say about 10"-12" wider and possibly 24" longer given the bracket spacing off the mower and the bag depth. I would measure but I actually sold the bagger🙄. Appreciate you watching💪💯
@markandersen65312 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Would you happen to know if the power flow will work with the 48” deck using the mulch blades or do the standard blades need to be used?
@joshslawnlandscape99352 жыл бұрын
Yes...i think that is actually the smallest size deck for it. I would use some type of lift (medium or high) or gator blade for best results with leaves. If just bagging grass I think you could use standard blades with the blower. Hope this helped and Thanks for watching!👊

i just put a blower bagger on my E180 and it keeps getting clogged in the blower. The grass is alittle damp but it literally is making the belt squeal so i raise the deck sum and had my height lever all the way up and it still clogs in the blower. Any idea ? im tired of stopping to unclogging by hand

Hello John. Would you recommend a bagger or a sweeper for pine straw, leaves, sticks, and pine cones?
@joshslawnlandscape99354 ай бұрын
If just leaves I would say go with a bagger, but if it's all that stuff in most of the area, I would go with a sweeper. I would be worried a stick might damage the blower impeller. Just.my.thoughts. Thanks for watching 😁👍

@joshslawnlandscape99352 жыл бұрын
Is it where the tube goes into the ribbed part or where the ribbed part mounts to the lid?
@nickdaigneault44352 жыл бұрын
It is where the tube goes into the ribbed part. Thank you for any advice you can help with!
@joshslawnlandscape99352 жыл бұрын
🤔🤔......... Double check the angle of the tubes. If one is twisted or anything like that it could not allow for the best connection🤔🤷. I haven't had mine do that before. The tube on mine goes of couple inches into the ribbed part. Maybe use 2 or 3 3/4" screws around the connection point if all else fails.

Dumb question but why is it absolutely required does the 54 inch deck not allow for grass to collect properly without the flow… Would it clog otherwise cause 1100 is just a lot of money
@joshslawnlandscape993510 ай бұрын
I believe it has to do with the volume of grass moving through the 54" and larger decks. I don't think there is enough air flow from just the blades to push that volume up the tube without clogging and/or dropping a lot of clippings back on the lawn.

Does the deck need to be leveled after blower installation? Mine seems heavily tilted towards the blower side.
@joshslawnlandscape99353 жыл бұрын
I just level mine for cutting. I think having the blower closer to the ground when bagging allows it to work better. Also you don't have to level the deck 10 times...lol😜👍

Thanks for the video. I thinking about getting this bagger for my x500 series mower. I have a 5.5 foot wide trailer. Was just wondering if you have ever measured the width of the deck with the PowerFlow attached and would it fit on my trailer. I have a 54" deck also. Do you have weights on the front?
@joshslawnlandscape99353 жыл бұрын
No weights on front with the 2 bag. They might help with tje 3 bag setup. I haven't measured It but It would be close I think with the blower on the 54in deck for a 5.5ft wide trailer. Thanks for watching👍

Great video!! I bought a used John Deere #345/54" deck, which came with the Power Flow system. Unfortunately I do not have the bracket which mounts to the front of the mower deck and holds the "Z" bar. Any idea what the part number for this is and where I could get one??? keep the videos coming.

So what makes the powerflow better than just a regular bagger?
@joshslawnlandscape9935 Жыл бұрын
I think the biggest difference is having the blower. That produces more flow to push material into the bagger vs just using the air flow from the blades out of the deck. The extra air I feel moves more material as well. Just my thoughts.👍

Hi, good video. I have a GT275 and I've just started using the powerflow system to pick up leaves. Is it more of an advantage to put the deck down closer to the ground? I usually mow at a 3 setting but that seems a bit high. Also, have you tried those single huge drag behind bags? I just bought one but have not used it yet. Thanks a lot.
@joshslawnlandscape99352 жыл бұрын
You have to be careful with dropping too low and you end up not allowing leaves under the front of the deck, and you risk sucking up a lot of dirt in some cases. I have not used the big drag behind bags. Thanks for watching!!👍

@@joshslawnlandscape9935 Thanks a lot for your reply, I'll split the difference in deck height and see what happens.

@@joshslawnlandscape9935 ah, good idea, I'll try that, it was working great yesterday, but that might steady the entire deck over uneven ground which I'm dealing a lot with. Thanks!
