Makes me miss my dad. As a kid, on the weekends he would turn up the stero (then it was cassette tapes) to John Denver. He's been dead for nearly 10 years.. and I still have to jam to some john Denver to bring those memories back! ❤

My dad used to listen to elvis Presley and micheal jackson. I still listen to their songs to this day. He died in 2021 oktober. I miss him

As a West Virginian, it’s nice to see all these people from all over the world uniting, in peace, and are listening to a song about a place they’ve never been before. My state may be poor, but it still has it’s beauty.

I was brought to USA when I was just 10 years old. 21 years later living here, this has become where I call home.. yet I am still not considered a citizen here. If I were to ever be deported, this would be the song I told myself I'd play in my protest. I pay all my taxes and take no part in any government benefits; I even applied to serve in the army here to show gratitude, but was denied.. I still Bless this place for what it stands for! God bless us all....

I've always loved this song, and I grew up in NYC. It has a bitter-sweet quality that fills you with joy and a longing for home at the same time. Like all great songs, it has a universal appeal that touches the heart. I suppose that's why, even though I've never been to West Virginia, when I hear this song, I begin to miss it.
