It'll be a tough group to play against for sure but any of the teams we could have potentially been paired with would have been just as difficult, if not more so. Love John's attitude towards the entire thing so far and the moments to come. I know this Canada team will give it their all, and even more so seeing how special this is on so many levels for them

As a belgian im very thrilled to see the team play against canada. Everyone here in belgium knows how the canada team is en plays. Couple of players like david played in our league. I really love the fact that John Herdman says that players will be selected based on merit, not because they have been with the group for a while. I think that he realized after the Costa Rica and Panama games that he has to expand the group, and continue to try to elevate the talent pool for this team.. I know that it's a remote possibility but either Mitrovic or Flores would do wonders for this Canadian team.

Not to worry John...I B-B-Q in the winter too! The greatest challenge for the Canadian team is going to be acclimation! Acclimation takes time. You HAVE to play in the heat. Many teams will struggled with this dynamic. This is one place where Canada MUST focus. I see it as an equalizer if we do the physical training in extreme heat, "progressively".

Look Canada obviously are not expected to get out of the group, that's kind of not the point for them. Getting to the world cup finals is a huge thing and anything else is a bonus. Just good luck to them, if the Ukraine don't get to the finals then Canada will be most peoples second team.

I am happy that we are in a group with Iran. Iran is a country where the world today's all about the glory and civilization of Iran with that great history. The whole world and people are indebted to the Iranians who are the foundation of human civilization.

Canada can't play in the heat. They need to play some Middle Eastern teams to get used to the muggy weather. I like this group and I think Canada can make it out!
