Most hispanics in the new world are som kind of meztisos which I dont mean as a derogatory term as it might be used in some countries. Not even iberians are a race which would be the hispanic race if there was such a thing. Latin people should include french italian portuguese and Romanian speaking people aswell?

And mind that latinos and hispanics are not the same. Brazilians, for example, are latinos but not hispanics, as they do not speak spanish (portuguese is their language).

Galvez and his multinational army also provided the Continental Army with guns, cloth, gunpowder and medicine shipped from Cuba up the Mississippi River. General Ramón de Castro, who was Galvez's Aide-de-camp in the Mobile and Pensacola campaigns, became the appointed governor of Puerto Rico in 1795. Also hundreds of puertoricans volunteer to fight and joint Washington forces and the continental Army.
