My mother raise me and my youngest brother without our father's never around we turn out okay. After they broke up but, still kept in contact with them. Make sure we're both doing alright, I had alot of father figures and stepfathers growing up. Two brothers of mine got their real dads but, me my still unknown don't know who my biological father is yet.

My mother and father separated for 6 or so months when I was in my early teens. They reconciled, and their relationship was very strong. I don't believe I was harmed because they got back together.

my sister got married too soon with an asshole and had kids few years later. after 5 years of marriage her husband abused her and the kids suffer for it for 2 years more years. They got a divorce as she got a nice lawyer that our entire family contribute to). after 6 months they split and they had joint custody of the children they decided they give it one more shot of living together "for the sake of the children" he said. After 6 days, my sister discovered a microphone in her car, and her laptop been move in places she didn't remember putting. The microphone was a bug recording her in the car trying to gather any law breaking moments to use against her and he tried to guess her login password in her laptop every night. She confront him and then he told her it's "for the children safety since she was not a proper Christian or goes to church" was his excuse. then she called him out on his BS and then in a fit of rage he started striking her over and over(FYI her husband was ex-military infantry so he packs a mean punch) and he stopped when the children came to see why was their mother screaming and crying. They saw everything. The cops were called and my sister was under protective services and manage to moved out. A month later she and the kids were living at large townhouse. Her Ex- came in unannounced knocking on her door telling her that she is an evil mother that needs to give up the children as she was not very religion or go to church and threaten to kill her family (her mom, dad. brother and sister). She calls my parents who in turn called me, I drive from Michigan to New York the next day and I lived with my sister for 3 months as my job is pretty awesome that I can make my own hours. I was just there to just keep her company and play with her children. He made no moves against my sister while I was there because he is a coward, tho that didn't stop me from confronting him. So No it's never a good idea to get to back together expecting different results. Doing the same thing over and over expecting different result is stupid.

@@michaeltollett6080 I'm guessing your parents still loved each each other when they got back together. This goes on with when they are no longer in love but stay for the kid which is a lot of cases makes it worse because they aren't happy they can leave a bad example of parent badly because they don't get along.

If you love your kid enough that you are willing to get back together to have a "healthy family" even though you dont love each other. You should just stay separated and coparent. Since you likely still like each other at the time, you can have good role models without destroying your own relationships.

Not really. It’s called putting your own interests aside for the sake of your kid, like parents are supposed to do. If you want to divorce once your kids all grown up, fine. It’s like completing a project with someone you don’t like at work or for school. Sometimes, you need to put aside your differences and ignore what you don’t like about a person for the sake of a common goal, whether it’s for a job, a grade, or in this case, for the sake of their child. They don’t have to try ‘dating’ or loving each other again because like you said, there’s a reason for why they broke up. But they can still work as a team to finish their last project together: their child.

@@mmb_98 in my opinion that just makes it worse for the kid or kids in my sister's case cuz she did the same thing and it just made it worse and harder on the kids cuz they will break up again and i like i said that will just make it hard on the kid all over again!

Kelly Allen I can get that. Some people just can’t make it work. But I’ve also seen it where the kids become more messed up because of the parents splitting (had a friend who was a Straight A honors student before they started getting into some sketchy stuff when they entered high school (nothing too bad, but enough to put them in danger). They’re better now but it had some serious ramifications in regards to their education and employment options later in life). I guess it depends on the situation and how bad the split is.

Seems like the whole point of writing her a new job somewhere else storyline. They needed a way to end them without making him a jerk so I'll be cool when him and Lucy get together later. Dating your friend's exes and your exes' friends is perfectly fine in these shows.

Why do you think it's trauma? The show was written that way, NF was just the actor. The show could last if they didn't try to make a completely different show in the season eight and if they didn't try to kickoff Stana.

Ksenija Woof wasn’t replying to you but to the original poster. Every show, film, interview, article etc NF is featured these people bring up Castle and Katic. Castle has been done 4 years, move on. And Katic burned her own bridges by demanding more money even more then Fillion. She became a Diva. She’s done like Castle. I’m even more upset with myself that I even respond to these posters. It just frustrates me when they bash NF but then I shouldn’t care. Just look at IMDb at what he’s done since Castle. That proves he’s wanted for his talents in the industry.

Look at the Nathan back than and look at him right now. This Fillion from these days is a lot more realistic to be a pair with a Beckett than a Fillion from Castle season 8th.
