Thanks for the video. I was very distraught over the news and seeing posts celebrating his work really helps me.

sure thing! I didn't know him personally, only met him a couple of times, but battling cancer for 14 years is heartbreaking and that he was so young and has a family adds to that. I regularly study his work and think he was truly a gifted artist.

@@ArtofComics I agree. I had become a Toth fan a while ago (and stumbled across your Toth videos too!) which lead me to discover JPL. Incredible work and I hope to reach his level one day.

The mark of a master craftsman is that they will make it look easy. Much of JP's art looks deceptively simple, but if you sat down to try and replicate it you would find out exactly how hard it is and how good he was. He deserves to be mentioned among the greats. I had a couple of brief interactions with him on Instagram a few years ago and now I wish I would have just tried harder to engage and speak with him, he seemed like he was very approachable. Thanks for talking him up and showing your commission, having a JP original would be a huge deal to me.
