JOHN ROWLES . New Zealand's Maori ELVIS, A true legend. of an era that changed the world. inspired by Elvis at the age of ten. Then meeting him. John rowles is a World class entertainer. I had the privilege of seeing him in a Showtime performance . What a legend . I also watched Elvis's 73 Aloha concert , via satellite on January 14th 1973 at Honolulu International centre arena. Over a billion people watched it ,way back then .This was Elvis's biggest triumph.

Ronnie Tutt was the reason why I am where I am today. The music business is a great way to make a living if you’re dedicated and you get some breaks. I was fortunate enough to have made a good living as a professional drummer and even retired at an early age all thanks to Ronnie. He was my main influence and we crossed paths a few times on the road. He’s a very talented and humble man and it was a pleasure to have met him. Ronnie, thanks for dinner! It’s on me next time! I’m loving those Paiste signature cymbals! You were right!

Ronnie Tutt, besides being a legendary drummer was a really true friend to the King.Elvis had a lot of respect and admiration for Ronnie and I know from hearing him thru the years that it was definitely mutual.God Bless you Ronnie.

I met Ronnie in 94 at a NAMM show in Nashville. He and Elvin Bishop rode the elevator with me. Ronnie gave me the ultimate compliment as he watched me try out a brand new TAMA Starclassic kit. Down to earth great guy . I miss him .

I went to the show in Auckland......was the only opportunity to see the legendary TCB band that Elvis Presley formed. And what an awesome guy Ronnie is. I expressed my condolences his wife, Donna, for the loss of their son. She told Ronnie, he called me over to him and asked me my name.....he then signed a set of drum sticks and gave them to me. ... Thank you Ronnie Tutt xx

When it comes to the music industry, Ronnie is actually saying it like it is. The music industry is the enemy of good music, not its friend. Apart from that, Ronnie is far too modest, he's one of the greatest drummers who ever lived.

In the studio recording of A Little Less Conversation, it was the equally legendary Hal Blaine on the drums. I've no doubt it was Ron Tutt behind the kit on stage, however.

If you wonder how great Ronnie Tutt was, look at his skills on Suspicious Minds. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ipeXaNeHrMDMlp8.html He really fires it up at 3 minutes on that video. Look at Elvis' nod. Even Elvis acknowledges to his audience how impressed he is with Ronnie's drumming. There won't be another drummer like Ronnie anytime soon.

John Rowels was better than Jones and better than Humperdinck. However he blew his career by spending all his time and youth in Hawaii, for almost 20 years . If I were his father I would have flown over their immediately and whipped his arse and said " get back over to England NOW ''. John was at the very top of the British charts , and well on his way to international mega stardom when he left it all to remain in the sun and surf and the bikini clad females. Decisions like that should never have been left to a 20 year old kid . Where were the older and wiser heads .... good lord.......?????? especially I would say his manager's, who was also Cliff Richard's manager . John Rowels was better than all of those British singers put together, and there is no Maori bias here because I'm not a new Zealander . I'm British myself . Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck, and Cliff Richard were great,...... John Rowels was greater.
