I think that’s the truth about how to make a winning team. When the players don’t get along they won’t win. Look at the nets. Totally had the talent and means to win the championship and they went on to get swepped by Boston. Poor KD was playing his heart out but he just wasn’t getting help in that series. Must be very frustrating for him.

Strictly as a Laker, Kobe was best, Shaq, west, and magic acknowledge it openly and have for a minute, he's 4th all time points all with Lakers, played 20 years since 18 years old, scored 2nd most points in a game ever and won 5 championships, 2 finals MVP and an MVP. Yes magic is the best pg of all time and Kobe the 2nd best sg all time, 3 time MVP in the era of bird and Jordan, won 5 also and went to 9 total (2 more than Kobe) but if magic himself is saying Kobe's the best Laker and the logo is saying it then people got to listen. Though I respect and love magic too, and view it more a tie, growing up with Kobe and the tragedy in the end really put Kobe on a mythic level. Magics HIV diagnosis was sad but he has lived long in the face of that thankfully

nihilist 22 when you think about it what records do he really hold a bunch of scoring records because he is a scorer but it’s because of tenure. Robbed or not he only has 1 league MVP but Kareem has 6 magic has more FMVPS, and more MVPs and both was rookie of the year not Kobe. Magic also lead the league in assist 4x and 2x steals, Kareem lead the league in blocks 4x and rebounding championship. Kobe supposed to be this soccer only lead the Leon scoring 2x in 20 years with a career 25ppg that’s not even top 10 all time in PPG regular/playoffs/finals. Ehh Kobe is not the greatest laker. He couldn’t even win 1 MVP or aFMVPS awhile being Shaq sidekick.

For me, the more the media hated on him the more I liked him. In my opinion when people choose between Kareem, Mike, Kobe, or Lebron it's usually due to a generational relationship. If you saw Mike before Kobe and Lebron then you'd most likely pick Mj. My lil brother is 22 and believes Lebron is the best thing since slice sliced bread..but he's not old enough to have watched Kobe score 62 in 3 quarters or 81pts in a game.

I believe they are both the best, the slight edge might go to kobe because he was with the organization for 20 years as a player. Kobe’s accolades are more relevant just because they happened in these last 2 decades. But their both mr laker to me.
