Pride Night is not about "celebrating the gay lifestyle" as some people like to say. Pride Night is about treating gay people with dignity and respect, and that's what Provy is opposed to. He's opposed to treating gay people dignity and respect, and cites his religion for his reason. His religious beliefs don't say "rainbow jerseys are an abomination." His religious beliefs don't say "complying with PR pandering practices is an abomination." His religious believes say "being gay is an abomination." Provy has every right in the world to believe whatever he wants. It's a free country. And I don't think he should have been benched, nor do I think he needs to be canceled or whatever. But it's absolutely ridiculous for people to get all triggered by other people calling out what is objectively bigotry.
