What I like most about Wesley Snipes as Blade is that you can tell by the way he moves that he actually knows how to fight and is not just performing choreographed moves

Snipes made Blade look like a legendary badass in movies...no one can replace him...

Wesley Snipes completely brought these action scenes to life. You can absolutely tell that these fight scenes are not "movie fu" and that these are the moves of someone who genuinely has studied multiple styles of martial arts over a long period of time. Snipes switches so well from punches, kicks, throws, and joint locks that you really get the sense that his character isn't simply relying on the superhuman capabilities that come with being part vampire. Other series have such a hard time doing this because actors who use stage fighting in their combat scenes oftentimes are clunky and don't have that practiced flow to them.

Back in the 90s, action sequences like this in Hollywood were very rare unless Jackie Chan or Jet Li was headlining the film. On top of that, Blade is such a badass character. Always fought with such finesse and cool. Reminds me of John Wick. It was memorable because it was ahead of its time.

Of all the trilogy, blade 2 has a good storyline, astonishing fight scenes and effects, and best director 😎👌

The new MCU Blade will have to literally walk on water to even come close to the Snipes movies.

First black superhero movie before black panther, first rated-R superhero movie before deadpool. These movies restarted the interest in superheri movies after the failure of the 90's. We wouldn't have an MCU without blade.

Blade actually made it possible for them to make the modern MCU, and nobody ever gives it props for that!!!....

I can't believe that this was made almost like before everything else and it still holds up well if not better than some movies we see nowadays except for the cgi it's so good I'm really glad that this was a part of my childhood... Also blade is like if john wick is a half vampire and hunts vampires and has arguably more charisma, they're both just really fuckin good at combat and really fuckin badass man

What really sold Snipes as Blade was not only his acting but his martial arts background. The fighting scenes are what made Blade so good. I'm not sure if Mahershala Ali has one, but I'm sure they'll find a way for his Blade to be different than Snipes'. It could go either Joaquin Joker good or Jared Joker bad. Time will tell. But, Snipes will forever be the best Blade.

He is also a skilled swordsman, marksman and street-fighter. He is adept in the usage of throwing knives. He is highly knowledge about vampire lore as well as the supernatural.

Wesley Snipes gave marvel a roadmap toward the success of other franchise but haven't been given much recognition for what he did for them talkless of letting him reprise his role as Blade . The difference between his fighting skills compared to others simple, he's a martial artist who have trained immensely in multiple styles and have been able to project it to the blade movies that's why Blade 1&2 will always stand the test of time. Now I don't know how maeshaela Ali is gonna handle the blade role . I sure wish him well though . Wesley Snipes to me will always be Blade .

That fact that he's in talks to possibly reprise his role as Blade in the MCU has me hyped!

Wesly Snipes shown martial arts isn't all about speed, it can be muscular also and Blade does martial arts with style. Really looking for more Blade movies from Snipes.

Glad this exists as I love the Blade movies and while I didn't care for 3...seeing all the fight scenes in isolation AND comparison to the other two: I really liked the slight time distortion effect and camera angles in Trilogy.

You can tell how the fights choreography got bad as it went from 1 to trinity. But I still love all three with the first Blade being at the top ready for him to show up in the MCU Marshala Ali is gonna kill those role.
