Please don't ever take this video down 🙏. Still watching in 2024! Mr. Johnnie Taylor was and is my older man crush 🥰. He was sooooooo fine, charismatic, sexy, and had swagger for days. I cried when he passed away. I'm 56 yrs old and wish I'd had the chance to see him in concert. The videos on KZfaq is the closest I'll ever get. Rest easy in soul heaven Mr. Taylor as your legacy lives on 💝!

back in the mid 90s JT was in DC on that same show which was billed as a night of Legends Bobby Womack and Tyrone Davis. JT came on first it may have been a mistake. He destroyed the joint. he came on with Whose making love. he had the audience until he came off the stage, that was the only time I saw him my lost I think he passed maybe 2 years later. He was a monster

They don’t make LEGENDS like this anymore. Years ago, my dad took me to a concert for my birthday and had a meet and greet (my dad was also security at this particular event). Indeed he was. He had a slew of hits with Stax from the late 60s to the early 70s. Marvin Gaye is on record as saying that he thought that JT had a beautiful voice. In my opinion, if performers like Bill Withers, Junior Walker & The All-Stars, and Percy Sledge are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Johnnie Taylor should be as well.
