Jennifer Howell, who runs a nonprofit organization, testified in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial about her interactions with the couple, as well as Heard's sister Whitney Henriquez. Howell testified about an email she sent to Henriquez, imploring her to tell the truth and stop protecting her sister. The contents of the email and what specifically Howell was referring to was not revealed during the testimony.

Honestly my biggest take way from this whole trial is that the UK court system is a complete sham.

True that. It is totally immersed in identity politics which is used to 'filter' (skewer) all evidence in order to arrive at verdicts which disproportionately accommodate individuals who are members of 'minority' groups whether they are the victim or the accused, plaintiff or defendant. I can state this from personal experience as a member of a minority group myself, although one whose preferential status in that regard is nullified by the fact that I am also a white male.

If you're referring to the case in the UK where Depp tried to take on News Group Newspapers for the Sun newspaper article which labelled him as a wife beater and how it was found to be "substantially true", then I'd agree with you; it is royally messed up. I'm not 100% sure what went horribly wrong with that trial and how Depp lost the case and failed with his appeal as well. I believe that there was no jury for that case; it was just 1 judge passing their judgment but i could be wrong. In this US case, it has been exposed many times that Amber Heard's story has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese and lied under oath many times. That really doesn't paint her as a reliable witness. She can't even say with certainty what year the supposed abuse she suffered began. She flips between 2012 and 2013. That in itself should ring huge alarm bells. I'm quite sure that I'd remember the year in her position. Looking at a variety of past UK court cases, there has been some truly bizarre judgements and opinions from judges. I learned quite some time ago that a high position of authority, power, influence and education does not necessarily bestow the individual with common sense, clarity of vision or any kind of logical thought process. For some, a carefully edited video setup by Amber Turd showing Depp yelling a few expletives and violently assaulting some kitchen cupboards, along with photos of him asleep is damning evidence that he's a demonic wife beater and rapist. Case in point, even now, Amber Turd still has her supporters albeit in dwindling numbers.

Yes, and I don’t feel sorry for Whitney. The turd might be violent toward her, but Whitney is an enabler. She’s also a liar, a moocher, and she used Johnny. They all used and abused him and after he took total care of the lot of them, she comes in and lies and then gets mad because he won, She and her crappy sister have gotten exactly what they deserved. Johnny afforded them both millions and great international exposure. The both of them are narcissist and they thought they could ruthlessly and violently control the best thing to ever happen to them. Now, the Turd has her hooks in Musk. If he knows what’s good for him, he’ll sue for sole custody of the baby, because of her violent, unstable characteristics and the threat she poses to the child. Also, she’ll use that baby to drain him. She’s a dangerous person and so is Whitney.

@@Duma39 the trouble is getting the jury to actually look at such evidence. During a big drug trafficking trial, I was disheartened by the apathy of fellow jurors. Evidence sat in bags on a cart that was wheeled into the jury room repeatedly. Not the foreperson nor anyone else even considered looking at it until day 3 when I got up and did it myself. That was the pivotal moment that brought the trial to an end. Juries are worse than you can imagine.

I get wanting her to pay for it, but sadly it will cause many DV survivors to not speak up for fear of sever consequences. Most are in vulnerable positions and some were dependant on manipulative asholes that have mastered the art of controlling the narrative. We don't jail people for coming forward years after a false allegation, because we want the innocent people to get out more than we want to punish the monsters. we can't have both as much as we wish for it. It is sadly the best way to deal with it. Remember this is a civil case, not a criminal one, which is why jail is not an option even if she confesses to her lies.

Why was this not brought up in the final statements? I think this is one of the biggest and most powerful things to use against amber. Her ONLY support (like Camilla said) is Whitney and even Whitney is an unreliable source for Amber's team. Because she was beaten by amber too! Yet she still wants to protect her. This woman shows proof that Whitney was a victim too (and still is) I am so happy this woman decided to testify.

There are thousands of men who will not come forward, about being abused by their wives/women because they will be viewed as being weak. One thing for sure. After this trial, it will make it easier for those men to come forward. Men are taught to not complain about their pains; to "suck it up" and remain silent. Any man who doesn't is viewed as weak. Because of this silence, it has only emboldened abusive women.

I pray more men come forward. My dad died after 39 days in ICU his long-term partner had gone off him and was fin nancially and emotionally abusing him. I suspect physical violence if Im honest. Shed stitched up all of his family finances, isolated him and was cruel. I'd only ever seen her being nice to him, but his last 3yrs were terrifying and he was powerless. This case was very triggering for me. Men are victims and hide it which benefits the abuser...this court case being televised is going to change the stigma and save lives.
@TheDukeOfSlink

I was in an emotionally, mentally, physically, and sexually abusive relationship with a woman for nearly two years. You are spot on concerning the stigma. When I tried to speak up to anyone who wasn't a close friend or family member, the response was either "You can't be abused, you're a man", "You let a girl do that to you?", or "I bet YOU abused HER." It was crushing. Once I was strong enough to break away, she started spreading horrible rumors about me to save face. Everyone believed these lies without question. Luckily, she slipped up and confessed they were lies during a drunk outing with her friends, but my name was already tarnished. Needless to say, this is an extremely important case to me. I have no fandom bias here. I just want the message to be made that abuse should and will be brought to light, regardless of the perpetrator.

Men have been raised and conditioned that we women are the fragile and weaker ones and how much harm could we possibly do? Don’t ever hit a girl, no matter what. Or getting laughed at when gf attacks them. So I agree with your statement and I hope this case removes the normalization of women hitting and abusing men and it’s okay to do so. My dad taught us that if we hit first don’t come home crying when he hits back. Don’t put on a man’s shoes and expect not to get treated like one.

I hope Depp wins as I know first hand how it can be. In 2008-2011 I fought my ex wife in court for custody of our children. I brought up her violence , tearing the house apart and hitting me. I mean she would Sugar Ray me and I’d not strike back because she wanted that. Yo usd against me. I once told her I was calling the police after destroying the kitchen and some expensive cameras. She said “go ahead, I’ll tell them you did it, who do you think they’ll believe”. I’m like WTF, because she was right. After I filed for divorce and custody which I was granted, she showed up snd I’d changed the locks, so she called the police. It’s like 11pm. I’m doing dishes and laundry getting ready for the next day. Cop makes me let in, he’s rude as hell to me, threatened to lick me up of I opened my mouth- inside my home. She is pretty and I guess he was playing hero. After years of court hearings, I told it all. The judge talked to the kids in private. She perjured herself and the judge told her. No punishment though. I got my children. 25k I’m legal bills. Worth it. Some crazy women as well as men out there.

That evil black widow had shot n killed her past 2 husbands n stabbed her last one before my bro. I absolutely despise Amber Heard. If there was any abuse by Johnny, I'm fairly certain it is reactive abuse after years of abuse from Amber. Enduring years of emotional, mental & physical abuse will break someone. And for people like Amber, that is literally their goal. I truly hope the jury knows enough to see this. I wish there was a neutral psych consult on site to explain certain things to the jury to be able to make informed decisions regarding the trial. Either way, Amber Heard will have a very difficult time in life after this. Rightly so.

Could anyone possibly explain the ending where it cuts to Ms. Howell saying that she was guaranteed 20 minutes with (_____? I couldn’t hear or didn’t understand who she was referring to)…and that she was “attacked by your side for 3 and a half hours the last time”? And the last part about sticking to what she’d been told before this trial…..I was so so confused about this part when I saw it in the trial and especially when her last sentences were included with context that was perhaps removed from her testimony? I could be totally wrong about this but it just seemed like her last statement wasn’t in response to Depp’s lawyer asked-and she was a fantastic, honest witness and provided great testimony, I, just sooo confused about the end. And would the experience she was referring to have been when Adam Waldman was Depp’s lawyer? Thanks ahead of time for anyone’s insights!!! I’ve watched that part over 15 times and can’t figure it out haha

When all the while from day one of this chaotic relationship you knew Johnny was supportive of you, and always wanting to protect you from the abuse you yourself sustained throughout your lives that continued even during his relationship with your sister Amber. Than you have the nerve to lie for Amber to ambush and betray Johnny after all he did for you and so many others out of kindness and true generosity. One day your children will learn how their mother lied under oath on behalf of their aunt the same person that not only abused Johnny Depp but physically and mentally abused their mother as well. It took 24 hours for the manager/security team to vet me. I met his attorneys and wrote a declaration of what had happened to us. The DA was going to charge the actor but with my declaration they didn't press charges. When his attorneys asked me what we wanted for the info we said nothing. A little annoying but it doesn't seem intentional. Elaine has given us many examples of her being totally inadequate but I'll let this one slide. She probably took French or Italian in HS, not Spanish. 😂

I'm really confused about what happened at the end, did she abruptly disconnect or did someone else, and what exactly did she mean at the end there?

It sounded like she was promised that her testimony would only take 20 minutes so when that time elapsed she insisted they honor the agreement

I pray at some point after this trial concludes someone reviews every message and publicly confirms Amber is unstable and must be held accountable for her vindictive behaviors and actions. AH is beautiful on the outside it is a huge shame the inside doesn’t match. Perhaps one day Amber Heard will get the correct mental health she requires and will desperately need to raise her next generation.

Hopefully sociopath Heard won't stoop as low as orchestrating a fake suicide attemp (to gain attention and sympathy) but she's extremely premeditated and desperate...Let's see if her sister whom amber has beat since childhood, writes a tell all book. 'Sister Dearest'. Her sister also needs to face strong perjury charges. Wondering where all Depp's monies really went while with her...?

@@bibiclinton1443 It's her supposedly her biological baby. She had a surrogate. A suicide attempt would definitely get the baby taken away.
