One of my all time favourite tunes, nice version with Burgo live vox. A great song that for me over time has evolved and has got better especially as Johnny & his band plays his arrangement with guitars at the forefront, leading and really carrying the song, even though the original with more synths & keys is still a great version, I just love the overall arrangement of guitars when played now especially when it gets midway and he hits the first melodic descending and ascending guitar solo, then followed by the middle interlude where everything drops down and you have a lovely glistening section of guitars entwining and weaving with each other eventually building up and we get an awesome slightly driven guitar solo to really take it away still building to go into the chorus for the final section with guitar solo still playing to end with a fantastic crescendo of everything playing that for me is a lovely and perfect sounding looping chorus which is just a beautiful catchy pop song and hook that I never tire of hearing, that for me proves what a great song it is if myself as a musician, guitarist, producer etc doesn’t ever get bored of hearing and playing the riffs of the song. One of Johnny’s best and well written songs in his song catalogue, and theirs a shit load of great songs and riffs he’s written of the years.

Does sound like Bernard though. Neither are great live singers but they get away with it.😉

This is what Johnny Marr does now, goes to any gig in the hope they'll call him onstage. Meanwhile I watched Morrissey in a packed theatre in Sydney three weeks ago, his second night of a sold-out tour.
