I put the Nova chips and started right up running real crazy fast and then poop went out or found out it snap the keyway pain cuz I didn't type the flywheel tight enough so I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow and see how the Nova chips workout

Oh and I forgot to mention that I took the starter off of the 35 and try to put it on the 18 horse Johnson and I'm not sure if it's going to work looks like it's off pretty much I don't know if I can adjust it so far it's not lining up but I guess there's seems I can put v and shoes Long gate holes

I was too cheap to buy one of those darn retainers for the transom clamp on my 33hp so I made one out of a washer .Took me two attempts and some manipulating but I got it on.Figure once the motor is mounted it's not going anywhere anyway.

Do you know if there's a newer lower unit that's compatible with this model motor? I just want to be about to flush my motor at the boat ramp and I guess i can't find this flush adapters by Tempo.

Man, I have a 67' Johnson 20 I'm currently working on right now. I had replaced the impeller a while back, all was Great. I hit a log in the river and sheared the drive pin off. Hoping that was the worst of the damage. I tool everything apart and inspected. The broken drive pin in the prop was the only thing I could find. Got it out on the water last night. Cranks fine, but it just won't move in gear. Have it in the test tank today and it looks like its halfway spinning the prop. I'm scared I've hurt something more serious inside. Thoughts ?

do you have the part number for the starter motor bracket,starter and solenoid? will any 18/20/25hp from that 68-72 omc motor with electric start work? Thanks you know a lot about boat motors

I always crack the top of the screwdriver gently with a small hammer to break screws loose, I found I break less shit like that lol, I couldn't belive the spring was still in that throttle handle :D that's crazy I bet its never been apart.
