There are better options. Of course, there will always be greedy, selfish, power-hungry a-holes, out to take advantage of a system that lets them - but few countries in the developed world are quite as bad as the US.

So he put agreed to be eco friendly and shit. To be fair, the room was more than half empty. It was that way because it was a subcommittee meeting being held in the room used for the full committee. Only like 1/4 of the members were supposed to be there, and almost all of those were there. I'm not sure Jon actually understood that at the time, though he did give one hell of a speech.

A politico article broke down the situation and one of their main points was that only a dozen or so of the full 40 something committee were supposed to be present, and that Jon most likely misunderstood this. McConnell likely just finds it easier to mislead everyone rather than try to explain the truth. "We're busy" is simpler than an in depth explanation about the difference between subcommittees and full committee meetings.

@@tsurek you go up to a current first responder - police, fire, ambulance - tell them to their face they're a "cry baby" - you do that - since you're so brave - if you have the guts to do that (which you don't) then go up the first responders of 9/11 - the ones with cancer - or their families for the ones who have passed - you tell them 'you're a cry baby' to their face - make sure they're in a group so you can tell them all at once.
