Here's Why You Should Trade Your Harley For a Vulcan S!
Ride, Review, Impressions, Off Road, Beginner Bike, 0-60 mph, Walk Around, Acceleration, Speed, Drifting, One Wheel
I had such a blast rocking around on the 2017 Kawasaki Vulcan S that I couldn't help but take it out for another ride to see what this bike is all about. Join me as I go over ALL the reasons why I absolutely LOVE this motorcycle. In fact, I dig it so much that I might actually recommend you trade your Harley for this little rocket! I even manage to take the bike off road this round and see how she handles loosing control. The wild thing is you I could purchase three of these bikes on the used market for the price I paid for my Harley!!!! This is obviously all in the spirit of fun, so enjoy! And for all you Harley fans out there (myself included), try not to get too worked up over the title! :)

@@kencohagen4967 that seems to be the big dilema for lots of people. A few have mentioned it as well. I'll have to dow vid regarding my thoughts. Of course it ultimately comes down to the individual. I own a Raider 1900 and I’m interested in the new 2020 Rocket 3 GT. When you own something like a Raider 1900 and with a 2500cc cruiser with over 160 HP and torque, suddenly, HD became a cheap made uninteresting bike to your eyes.

I just bought a 21 Vulcan. It’s not fancy, but it’s a great bike. No 1 reason I bought, it’s only 213 kg . I’m 64 years old and I wanted a bike which is easy to handle. I’m confident that I can still handle the bike 10 years from now. It has a 60 hp engine, it is certainly fast enough. I’m riding my bike in the Philippines where the roads are not as wide or good and often very crowded. The 650 is an ideal bike for me

I just change the turning light to LED and the relay for proper flash frequency. This bike loves 10W60 engine lub especially you ride long distance. Right now I put it at 38,000 km mileage for 2 years with no a single mechanic problem. If you commute on this bike, OEM USB outlet is useful. Love this bike. Kawasaki gives cruiser a pretty new taste. And Japanese smooth engine is hard to beat.

I would like to see the mid controls if you feel like doing it. Would it be great? Would it suck? There are no kits as far as I have seen so you would have to improvise. I have Protaper bars on my S (Henry/Reed bend) and put the pegs in the reduced reach position, but I would still like them a little further back. Some say the reduced reach seat helps with handling, but it looks like shit. I'm a huge fan of this bike and I have owned 20 street bikes and been riding for 30 years on the street. I have gotten mine about where it needs to be except for the pegs. Check out the Puig options for this bike. Put an exhaust on it, you are going to dig it (I did the Danmoto). You will need earplugs. Oh yeah, get the Boosterplug, it's a must.

With its 130 mm ground clearance, I’m doubting its “On-road capability” here in India whenever it scrapes over every Speed bump in my city ! Anyway there’s no doubt that Vulcan ( or any Japanese Cruiser for that matter ) has better performance, handling and ride quality compared to a Harley ! Too bad these ‘metric cruisers’ haven’t captured US market as well as they deserved !

I have a Sportster and a Boulevard m90... Sporty or Vulcan..sporty will hold value but they are about equal in fun so if it ain't about the money and resale or street cred, i'd say get the Vulcan and ride it like you stole it. FYI though if you are the type of guy that doesn't like being teased.. don't buy either you will be shit talked for both...lol...mostly by people with no bike so..take that for what it's worth.

You should trade your Harley for ANYTHING but a Harley, lol! Too heavy, too slow, too antiquated, too unreliable and too expensive.

Harley doesn't even have the resale they enjoyed for decades. Not since they became a ridable status symbol for every retired guy trying to show that he had an actual career rather than just a job.

Wow! Most of the Harley-hater comments here are pretty ignorant not to mention they’re usually made by guys that can’t afford one! Funny as hell!

Brent G You seem to be butthurt over reality. Any person with 2 brain cells would never buy a Harley considering the amount of options available over Harley. Lack of innovation killed Harley. I decided against a Harley when a brand new one broke down on their last demo day.

Bill Jones “butthurt” Lol! I guess that’s genius level brain cells at work... funny as hell! Bottom line is I can afford to buy WHATEVER I want and customize it however I want. Anyone with “2 brain cells” would also recognize that motorcycles and their options are extremely personal... what works for one won’t work for another - hence the term “opinions are like assholes”, we all have one.

I feel like (cuz I don’t know I haven’t Road one yet) it is like a concept bike that somehow made it to full production if that makes sense lol. I mean it’s a crossover bike. It’s a cruiser but not a cruiser, it’s a sport bike but not a sport bike lol. It’s gnarly for sure but what it is and what it not is is what makes me want to stay away lol. Like most dual sport bikes (not ADV bikes) they suck at off road compared to a dirt bike and they suck at on road compared to purpose road bikes lol. But again I will have to ride this sucker to really make a true comment. I’m just a rambling I guess lol sorry y’all

If you wants a "Hawley killer" with high resale and 85-100 hp, get Indian Scout. If you want a cheap 50 hp used cruiser, Vulcan S or Bolt.
