stfu organized religion is a mental illness based around unearned moral superiority and arrogance (proving my point with your assumption above). Honestly the broken brain of a zealot and a far leftist are no different. Extremism. And Jordan is far more nuanced in his approach to religion he doesn't arrogantly state his faith in an omnipotent cartoon god but the knowledge passed down by man to reach enlightenment. Its his understanding of psychology and his dissection of religion that illustrate the momentousness of humans defying baser instincts to create morality out of thin air but again a zealot like you only sees what they want and has maybe seen 1 hour of his lectures. That doesn't mean God wants them to do it. But he gives them the choice. And Jesus also speaks of picking up our cross. So maybe suffering is necessary in a sense. I’ve felt the presence of Jesus many times Sometimes I’ve wondered if I was in so much trouble just so I’d know Jesus was with me The first time I was 17 and protected a high school girl I didn’t know from being abducted and killed The next time I’d been married less than a week and Jesus gave me a quick steady hand to fight off 2 trying to abduct and kill my wife (The Tampa cop told me the quick hand saved her but I knew Jesus was in control of my gun as I stared at evil) Then on the operating table with the same wife beside me I knew Jesus was with me The nurse said she’d never seen that surgeon get on his knees and pray over a patient before surgery I’m supposed to be God fearing but Jesus has been carrying me my whole life

@@strange4107 I can try to elaborate what Andreas was stating. I see some common ground feelings in that post so I’m confident that I can explain it well. I don’t call myself a Christian by the way. The only devoted Christian in this universe will always be Jesus Christ himself. I grew up in Asia and at least where I was born, Buddhism was and has always been the staple religion for the majority of Asian countries. Christianity was and is still not a common religion in Asia as a whole. Muslims maybe, but not Christianity, vanishing few. But there are more people with no religion than those who are religious. But the problem is the vast majority of them don’t even believe in their own God, they simply follow the tradition without the faith. One of the price you must pay for that ignorant is the value of the morality. As Dr. Jordan Peterson has said many times, morality is the governor of the world. It’s a very confusing concept to examine. But I found My faith or my faith was strengthen when I discovered Dr. Jordan Peterson, his lectures, podcast, speech guided me to the noble path of Christ. And it is terrifying to realize that the values in which Embedded within Christ or the teach of Christ/ the Bible is the only way to overcome the evil, the malevolence, the tragedy, and the suffering that will come to get you because you are capable of self-consciousness. It’s a very conflicting and confusing discovery. I hope that will answer your question in someway. But I would love to elaborate more if you have anymore questions!

And total devotion, or sainthood, means the resistance of all temptation. Which is downright impossible? Maybe, maybe not. I think its possible. But darned difficult to say the least.
@ladymercy52753 жыл бұрын
@@seanthomasmusic Definitely impossible. The wheel of time spins on sin. If you thought what happened in the "Garden of Eden" was a mistake, you weren't paying attention. That's not a curse on humanity, per se, it's the _nature of physical reality._ Put simpler, you wouldn't notice that you were conscious at all, if you weren't tempted by something you know you should resist. That's where the conscious part comes in, and a soul wakes up to find itself a living being. Of course, this would also mean it's true that we didn't need God or any of it to write that story, because if it's based on truth and reality than it could just be self-evidently obvious to any cave-dwelling philosopher with a keen sense of awareness and enough time spent dwelling on self reflection. So, if wondering if _that's_ true shakes the foundation of your faith, then you never had any to begin with. Would it bother you if humans weren't the only stars in this show?

There's a sentence that I'm always reminded of when I hear anything science or nature related. It's in the front of my introduction to physics textbook. "Science is the study of how the world works, religion is why." The objective world and the narrative world are always touching, it's just the right narrative you have to find. I'm a God fearing man, but I believe in the sciences and evolution. There are deep things in both that can explain the other, religion and science.

So many of these comments are as touching as this video because each of us who believe have had to step over the fence from unbelief to belief and for me even after 42 years it stirs a deep emotion within myself as I recall the moment I saw myself as a sinner in need of a savior! He is a good, good Father 🥰

Why not call the savior Santa Claus or Roger Rabit and just believe that he payed the price of our sins? Can you explain why you exactly choose to believe in the story of Jesus? A story that is hard to prove like most historical evidence. What made you go "Ok so I now choose Jesus and he is out saviour"? I think this is a question that I need real answer to.

@KZfaq TruthLife When we seek Him earnestly, thru prayer and Bible study, He will come to y personally and show you Him, Himself. We have to want a Savior, in sincerity, but to do that, we need to begin to understand why we need a Savior. He will show you the Way. Once you know Jesus Christ, you will never unknow Him. Faith also comes from Him. Step into the ring some, and maybe allow Him to prove Himself to you. We cant, we're just believing people. I'll pray for you too.

@@youtubetruthlife4750 There must be a first cause. What started everything. Things in life boil down to belief. Science deals with unravelling reality, with facts. Until science gets to, 'where did the first energy come from'. Religion also runs out of steam. But they believe God made the first energy, and created. But the actual reality of God, his essence before creating, well, Religion will never know this. We can only analyse what this mystery created. That's us, and the cosmos. We can play around in that space, with our little arguments and beliefs about our reality. We are resultant, we emerged, we are contrived. I will say this though. We are all (including the first CAUSE) seeking exquisite LOVE.

I think we need a Saviour and are reborn once we sacrifice all our being to fully serve the truth regardless of the consequences. When we die to ourselves we are spiritually born. At least for me. I never Consciously seen my physical sins in one moment. Rather over a period of time things that served the flesh became worthless and there more and more of the figure of christ revealed. The idea of sacrifice the greed of the flesh will reveal more of the meaning of life. And also christ. Does that make sense? @ashleyhunt6022

If I even try to go against it, it doesn't work. If I try to lie I end up telling the truth and if I try to walk away or not be perfect everything seemingly goes even stronger in the perfect direction. So weird knowing how to use these abilities.

I have a friend who was an atheist for many years of her life. I remember talking to her about God’s forgiveness years ago, and I remember her saying: “Doesn’t that sound too good to be true?” I think that puts this whole feeling well. It’s so good that our mind says no way! No way the all knowing, all powerful creator of the universe knows me personally! No way does he love me knowing what I’ve done. No way would he give his own life so that I could be with him…. My friend came to Christ yesterday. I cried when I found out. I know the feeling of knowing you’re not enough, and being accepted anyway. Only God would do that.
