Friendly reminder to anyone questioning Aldo's legacy as one of the GOATs, he made his debut in 2004. That's 20 years as a pro, most fighter's careers last half as long. Dude was still beating top fighters 16 years deep into his career, no one has done that.

Aldo is more popular and loved (just my perception obviously)even by those who aren't MMA fans,he's very respected because he's known to be very humble . Anderson is huge as well,but Aldo is more relatable

Because 90% of his fan base speaks Portuguese, same with EVERY brazilian fighter, Brazil has 220 million people and they are a thousand times more engaged in social media/martial arts, Brazil have a huge judo/boxe/jiu-jitsu community since forever, Americans are so slow, they think US is the center of the world 🤣
