I once had a parent complain on the phone to me about the Black Assistant Principal suspending her child. She said she was glad she was talking to me and not her. I then calmly told her that I was the only Assistant Principal at the school. She said, "you can't be, my child told me that woman is Black!" I responded, " I'm the only Assistant Principal here, ma'am. And, yes. I am Black." She was so shocked that she hung up the phone and came to the school to see for herself! People are ridiculous.

I worked for a mortgage counseling service and a Caucasian woman called because she was about to loose her home. She talked to me about what led up to the issue for about 2 hours. The “reason” was he had an affair and left her. She told me the story and said can you believe he left me for a black woman. My mouth dropped. I am black, I don’t think she realized it.😱

Well… if you look at it from a different perspective it might make sense. Remember in school? Where they taught us about descriptive titles, symbolics and all that stuff? Apples are associated with sin and desire.. like, the forbidden fruit from Adam and Eve. It kind of applies here, with the whole vampire I wanna suck your blood thing. The book cover could be compared to the titles symbolic type. Just my opinion.

Alvin Williams yeah I’m A comic In Chicago and it’s a treat to see him perform at an open mic. So genuinely funny. I asked him how he remembered his jokes so well, and he told me he practiced in the mirror. Which I tried but I can’t take that kinda eye contact. 😳 All in all a sold dude and performer.
