Im married to a German guy (Mexican here) and I can totally relate on most of these. I thought my husband was the only one googling everything I say haha Im a dentist, and when I give him a dental advice he still googles it, unbelievable 😂 I still think dating a German guy is awesome tho, and because they are so honest and stay in the rules, most of them can offer you something that is invaluable: emotional stability.

My boyfriend is german and he is the sweetest boy! He tells me how much he loves me all the time and treats me like a princess 💓. He always recognize when he's wrong, and say sorry; also he's always very understanding and supportive... hehe🥰; I'm from Chile and I could say I'm the coldest one! 😅😂 So it doesn't haves nothing to do with the country or the culture, it's more about your character 😌😚

Eso pensaba yo...pero estaba muy equivocada, si les gusta el chisme y mucho. La diferencia es que antes no eran tan metiches y ahora te preguntan hasta el más mínimo detalle de tu vida 😒. La vdd me gustaban más cuando eran parcos, seguían las reglas y no hacían preguntas incomodas

no maaaaaaa los primeros dos puntos eran cosas que me frustraban un buen de un ligue aleman que tuve, hasta cuando le pedí su faceboook y me dijo que no tenía pensé que me estaba mintiendo y ahora sé que eran más diferencias culturales que nada Se me hace super curioso porque creo que en México (y supongo que en otros países) es "lo común" querer platicar un montón con una persona que te interesa y querer saber todo de su vida (por redes sociales)

Yo diría que en los países del norte es así, mi novio y yo nos llevamos super pero no hablamos más de una vez al día y el casi nunca manda mensajes 😅. Eso si al principio de la relación me di cuenta que se la pasaba viendo mi face y hasta sabía cuántos amigos tenía y con quién estaba más en contacto (stalker)🙄. Se me hacía super raro... pero ahora ya ni se fija 😂

Mexican girl who grew up in France. I guess Europeans like to switch México from N to S when it's convenient and they do it mostly in geopolitics although in geography too. So that's why they all say: "It'S iN ThE SoUtH!". When obviously Central America starts with Guatemala and Belize, I mean unless you're blind you can see it right away on a map hahaha. Trust me they are annoying

Joss is right .... us Latinos are bit nosy for them, because when we like someone just want to know ...(liking allright? for friendship, love, being a neighbor, coworker, etc. ) We just want to confirm that we are not on a slippery slope, since we like the person, that's all. Our culture is to be curious by nature, and with all respect, I don't find it bad. Obviously I am not talking about cheeky disrespectful attitudes.

Totally agree! I've was living in the Czech Republic for 3 years and working in a German company... and oh god! why do germans think they are always right? They certainly don't show off about stuff but they do brag about knowledge. In general I would say that europeans don't use social media like we do in America. I always feel like they're judging me for posting a lot.

Basically I'm the German in the relationship and I totally get the points. It's so funny to see how other foreigners think about the things that I was told. Sometimes I don't get the "problem" because it's normal for me to do it this way.

Mi novio es alemán y ese tema del que hablas sobre que son suuuper honestos es muy cierto, incluso con regalos y cosas que yo le he dado siempre honestamente me responde que tienen X o Y problema o que simplemente no le parecen muy útiles, al principio yo me ofendía muchísimo, pero lo hablaba con él y le decía que debe valorar más el esfuerzo y el detalle que el regalo en sí mismo, él también me hizo entender que la cultura y la forma de ser de los alemanes es así. Hoy, después de un año siento que lo entiendo más y no me lo tomo personal cuando me dice cosas de una forma tan honesta y él también ha entendido que hay cosas Mas allá que hay que ver en un detalle. A los dos nos ha servido mucho. Florian es lo mejor que me ha pasado en la vida. Se trata de que juntos en nuestras diferencias sepamos equilibrarlas si realmente Queremos luchar por lo nuestro

I guess us Germans not showing so much emotions and feelings is deeply connected with our "dark" history. My parents for example never became that much love from their parents and that is something that they passed on to me, because they don't know how to express what they feel. I guess with further generations that is going to become much easier but for now a lot of German still seem cold or unapproachable because of that.

Most of the items discussed are accurate. The person I am dating currently, prefers and is proud of anything related to Germany (taxation, cars, public transport, produce). Being shy (as claimed) but is also brutally honest and upfront.

Last year I went on a couple of dates with German guys and only NOW i realized that they were actually pretty interested in me. LOL. Joss, Janic why didn't you make this video a year ago, dudes? Btw I actually like that in the beginning most germans ask you questions like on an interview, cause if you ask them back it turns out to be a efficient way to get to know each other.
