Journaling with Fountain Pens and Stickers on Tomoe River Paper

Күн бұрынA quiet journaling process video in my Nanami Café Note B6 slim grid notebook with Tomoe River Paper. Today, I'm using stickers, Baum-Kuchen washi tape, the TWSBI Eco, the Kaweco Al Sport, and the Conklin Duragraph fountain pens to write out my thoughts.
The inks I used in this video are Diamine Polar Glow, Graf Von Faber-Castell Olive Green, and Diamine Syrah. My fountain pen holder is from Galen Leather and the journal cover is the Chic Sparrow Holly Wood folio (from their retired Enchanted Woods collection).

I use screenshots of memes, news articles, photos of places and people I love. Collage sheets too are really fun.

And I always use fountain pen because my finger joints are now starting to get sore and unlike ball points and gels and whatnot, fountain pens write under their own weight, so you don’t have to push down to write with them, so it’s easier on my hands.

I love that about fountain pens! I push unnecessarily hard on my finer gel pens and I really like the way writing with fountain pens has helped me to relax when I write.

such a nice, relaxing video to do my morning journaling along to! ☺ currently using up some old moleskine cahiers before i move into a hobonichi avec for july and i'm so excited to have that sweet sweet tomoe river paper again. hope you're doing well!

Thank you! I tested this music-only with text on screen format a while back and it did really well, so figured I could mix in some of this style video every once in a while. That’s so fun! I’m enjoying the last journals I have with the original Tomoe River Paper and hoping the new Sanzen version is okay.

Hey Lauren 👋 I'd love to see your process for restoring/maintaining your TN leather or vegan alternatives! Are you very protective of your covers or do you prefer lots of patina?

Hi Jade! I do like lots of patina, though I have a cover that’s getting a bit dry and was thinking about finding a product for it. Would love to document the process if that’s interesting! Good to know for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!
