I grew up listening to Journey since I was about 9 or 10. Was upset when Steve "CHOSE" to leave the band. Heard about this Arnel guy, watched a bunch of videos with him, read up on him and his story and he is amazing!!!!! Much more talented overall that Steve Perry. Has an amazing stage presence and performance which Steve lacked. Arnel gave Journey new life. I couldn't be happier for them!! Can't wait to see Arnel and Journey in Illinois this summer!!

People also need to realize, if Steve Perry came back now, his voice has changed (natrually, it has been 30 years). You STILL wouldn't really get the Journey from the 80s. All good things must end.

Well, sounds like another subtle jibe at Perry. 'some members in the 1980's didn't want to come'. In the Swedish interview awhile back they specifically said Perry. Valory doesn't have kids, so unless it was Steve Smith who didn't want to come, it is back to digs at SP. Can't they let this crap go? Perry consistently is classy in public interviews about them. Either says nothing, or wishes them well. Wish they would do the same.

Steve is great and phenominal. Arnel is amazing and awesome and more talented....no one can disagree with reality....

@1984jee Arnel is a very handsome man. Nothing wrong with his haircut. Schon does look like he botoxed himself a bit too much or something, and I think Cain would have been better off not dying his eyebrows so dark. But, even though I have zero desire to ever see them without Perry, I have to respect their desire to still make music, even though the new music that isn't selling per Billboard. And Arnel could be a tremendous success without them. Just hope they don't tour his voice to death.

What gets me is all these Perry fans who are still hanging on to him. He simply cannot sing the material anymore. I take care of an elderly lady his age and she wears diapers and uses a Cane for god sakes.
