I grew up listening to this music. Along with Tom Petty, CCR, Fleetwood Mac, etc. I love seeing all these people with similar experiences. My family listened to this type of music. I am 32 now and we don’t see each other as much anymore since we are all grown. This music brings me nostalgia 😊

Saw them 3 times! Twice with Steve Perry- 1980 evolution tour and 1982- where he is wearing the famed yellow leopard shirt- l am lucky to have been a teenager when the golden voice was in this iconic band- don't stop believing came out the year l graduated high school 1981! ❤ Boomers music rocks

One of the best 80s concerts ever. No enhancements, no lip syncing, no dubbing/mixing. Just sheer, God given talent. Arnel is good, but NOBODY can touch Perry. His vocal range.......🙆 Unreal the notes he used to hit. My generation was spoiled. This doesn't exist anymore.🤩🎶🎤

Absolutely. I’m 70 and still listening. Such a great band, have seen them many times, with and without Steve. I have this original album as well as many other Journey recordings, including 2 before Steve.

It just never gets old!! This type of rock music will never die!! Such a shame we never get to see and hear incredible talent like this anymore. It's always so much fun to listen to. Not to take anything away from the current Journey singer Arnel Pineda, who emulates Steve Perry right up to the tee, but this is the REAL original Journey. They for sure, were always one of the most incredibly iconic rock bands ever. This timeless masterpiece, being one of their first great songs "Wheel in the Sky", just never gets old. It for so many years has been a great rockin' jam to play loud. Awesome, timeless Neal Schon guitar solo along with Steve Perry's high octave voice!!🎶🎼🎵

When he's standing next to Neal during his solo and Steve hits that note I thought it was an instrument at first I didn't realize that was him letting that note out while Neil's playing guitar it's unbelievably beautiful

@@timwatersondrummer - There is a version of this song that has Rollie singing and it doesn't even sound like the same song, Rollie's version sounds like a teenage band banging the crap out of their instruments in mom's garage. Perry did an awesome job of cleaning this song up and sending it up the charts.

as far as voice goes Nat King Cole is superior, , Aaron neville of Neville Brothers blows past him and Bruce Springsteen voice and musical chops & writing skills light years ahead ' won't even mention Nick Cave or Johnny Cash etc .

The Late Great Nat King Cole is definitely worthy of comparison.Dont know who Nick cave is ,I guess I will have to check him out but, I am pretty much 100% sure he is not as good as Perry. Neville is a honorable mention as well.

I believe Rollie wrote this song, the version with him singing this song is awful. Sounds like a group of teenagers having a jam session in mom's garage.. Steve Perry obviously reworked the music to compliment the song/story and it is just awesome 😍
