I don't know why people need to be so rude. I personally love that he can have some sort of personality while doing his videos. I much prefer your videos over a bunch of stiffs out there that don't show any kind of personality. You provide good facts and you get your opinions across in a very personal fashion. Keep doing what you do man.

Haha great ending. Feeling loopy from too many looper vids? Thank you for the GEC9 video, easiest looper to program but I couldnt figure out the trigger/amp switching stuff, so thanks for that. Great system. Noise reduction Tip for you: I use the Rocktron Silencer pedal which has an input, output and an fx loop. I use it as noise reduction for loops 1 thru 7. Guitar into pedal input > pedal fx send to looper input > set up all your pedals in the GEC9 the way you want > loop 7 out to pedal fx return > pedal output to loop 8 in. Basically runs all the pedals in loops 1 thru 7 thru the noise reduction circuit of the Rockteon pedal and then back into GEC9's loop 8. I bring it back in before my delays and reverb so it doesnt mess with trails and such. Works great to kill all pedal noise and the clock tick of phasers and such without messing w tone or sustain. Im only using the noise reduction, NOT the gate function in the Rocktron. Huge difference w no noise BS. Hope that helps.

I usually send from the amp fx loop into modulations then return to fx loop return on back of the amp... now that I have this switcher, I haven't been able to get it to work yet... any ideas? Or is it not possible with this switcher? :(

Can you use the small 4 looper with two amps? In my case I have a octave pedal with two outputs (dry and octave down) which I send to guitar and bass amps. I have a distortion pedal for each channel which I want to be able to turn on simultaneously without tap dancing. I wonder if by some alternative wiring this can be done with the small looper. The big one is a overkill as I literally only have two pedals.

Great to hear someone else also wanting a more modular midi-approach. I would love to see a triggermodule(with lots of midi connections and switches), a programming module(to disconnect when not programming), an amp module (different ones for different amp connections) and a loops module(as slim as possible so it could even be mounted underneath a pedaltrain, or used as a pedal raise). Maybe even a seperate screen, for easier layout. Maybe we should start a company together ;)

I'd love to see you make a comparison of all loop switchers that has: 1 - ...at least 8 loops 2 - ...of which at least 2 are in stereo (preferrably 4) 3 - ...at least 2 trigger outs 4 - ...of which at least 1 is TRS/stereo (preferrably both) 5 - ...the capability of running parallel loops 6 - ...at least 1 exp-pedal input 7 - ...the capability of turning any built-in buffers on/off Sidenote: I also wish there were modular loop switchers. Why not be able to buy the central "brain" of the switcher, capable of being programmed in a computer if one wants, for ease of interface. Obviously you should be able to program it straight on the module itself but with a computer and some intuitive software it would obviously be much simpler. Then you should be able to add as many loops and switches that you want (up to say 16 or perhaps even 20 loops?) and you simply buy the loop input/output-modules separately. Let's say there are 3 standard (bigger) modules, the smallest having 5 mono loops, the next 8 mono loops and the biggest 10 mono loops. Then you can add-on loops by buying smaller modules with 2 loops on each module and these come both as mono or stereo. And if anyone would want to have all stereo loops on their switcher they simply buy stereo ones (the small 2-loop modules) and add as many of those they want (up to 16 or 20 loops). Because some people might want 6 stereo loops and just use 2 mono. This way people are able to custom build their switchers. In terms of the footswitches themsleves these are also separate modules in the same sizes as the input/output-modules (2, 5, 8 or 10). And, if some really crazy person out there wants to have more than 16 loops (or 20 if that's the maximum) then they have the option of buying a second central module (brain) and connecting them with each other. Now you're able to have 32 loops (or 40 if 20 is the maximum on each central module).

Hi +EytschPi42 always very informative videos ! Now, in the GEC9 product, I'd like to know if a Chorus or whatever pedal can have 2 different settings in 2 loops . What I mean is when you save the effect chain to the bank, let's says A-1 with some Chorus parameters, now if we change parameters of the Chorus and now save it to the bank A-2, if it will work, I mean of the diffrenet Chorus setings will apply for each A-1 and A-2. Thank you very much

Those units are for people who want to run tons of pedals. Rock and blues players basically use 4 or five pedals max. If you can make your own pedals you can run duals. A reverb trem, a clean boost with drive and distortion and a d lay and a echo, ect keep it down to four pedals.

You seem to like complex setups and are presumably an expert on the Joyo PXL Pro. Here is my quandary: I would like to run 2 amps with a number of stereo effects. One amp for Loop 1 and one amp for Loop 2 (4+4) . You state this is possible in your video above. If you connect a stereo effect into the L1 return and send of Loop 1 but only supply the L1 return of Loop 2 with the right stereo signal (nothing in send) will stereo channel signals come out of the Loop 2 Out (Right stereo ) and the Loop 1 Out (Left Stereo)? I would like to send each signal (Loop 1 and Loop 2) to a separate amps while utilizing the number of switching opinions the PXL Pro offers. From what I have read it would appear that you can only use Loop 2 when the send and return signals come from the effects loop of an amp or some similar setup. In other words does Loop 2 "In" need a signal for the whole Loop 2 to work? If not, where does the signal come from? Input 1, the guitar input? Unnecessarily complicated, I know...maybe I should take up acoustic guitar? Thanks.

Hi to the go to expert in loop switching. I love your many reviews man ! - (you don't put a name to yourself - and I can't seem to find it online) I am hoping you could let me know what's wrong here. I just bought the Harley Benton FXL 8 pro based on one of your reviews. Got it from Thomann. With loop 1 into the front of the amp and loop 2 in and out of the amp loop I get a loud buzz, even with amp volume off. It only works with loop 2 on its own going into the front of the amp. Thomann are saying that its a ground loop issue and I now need a DI Box. I am saying that the loop switcher is intended to operate as it says on the can. Relations are still good but maybe I have a faulty switcher.

+nodrog namron The TUNER jack on the PXL is ONLY out... you can go to your tuner and not have it in the effects chain at all....

Hi Eytsch, yeah I'm thick so could you spell it out more clearly please. If I plug my instrument into the first in how do I plug in the tuner...

+nodrog namron instrument goes INTO the PXL input.... TUNER OUT goes into the TUNER's INPUT... nothing goes out of the tuner.... the signal will go to the tuner when you engage the MUTE switch....

I'm so sorry, too much talk too much muck about drives me nuts! Please no offence intended to our man i just went looking for PXL8 info and lost patience. Just demonstrate in real time the process of each module, more professional that way. But hey you have your following and I'm glad for you. I just end up getting bored and annoyed as I like to know about each and every feature in detail, similar as Pete Thorn or Brett Kingman handle. But hey that's just me all the best to you in your presentations.

I know this video is a little old. But your primary responsibility is to us your fans and the consumers. I appreciate you're buddies with these company's but I think its best to sometimes remove yourself from that aspect and just focus on whats best for us the people spending our hard earned money on this gear. That being said I think you're great you cringy bastard.

Wow is unbelievable how some of these KZfaq reviewer do these videos, you would think they would think ahead of points of importance to talk about (Pete Thorn at least tries) and lay down something prepared to follow with bullet points so you can do a well rounded description of what is important ! (and he does cover some aspects except two! ) Except two of the most important topics in something you will use in your live pedal board setup !!! SWITCHING NOISES OR /POPs sounds related to RELAYS !!! AND ANOTHER HUGE ONE WHICH IS "THE WEIGHT" OF THEM..... FOR GOD SAKES !!!??? THAT IS WHAT PEOPLE MOSTLY CARES ABOUT IN THEIR PEDAL BOARD WHEN YOUR ARE COMPARING AND SELECTING ONE !!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE ON KZfaq ??!!! DO I HAVE TO CREATE A CHANNEL TO SHOW THESE PEOPLE HOW IS DONE ? WAIT NOW I PLAN ON BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY IS IMPOSSIBLE . Then you go to MOEN website and guess what ???? NO WEIGHT JUST SIZE !!! LOL Unbelievable!!! You are the one that has to drag this crap around and may or may not have a back problem or else and nobody thinks !!! So yeah another great job youtuber EytschPi42

@@EytschPi42 As if yelling or not yelling would have made a difference or not and trust me when you're looking for a honest review and go thru several of your reviews on this subjects and you waste hours between your bad jokes and still none of these things get mentioned yeah it can be frustrating but since you want to ignore the issue and talk about my yelling then that's it
