Just one important question, when you order a new Joyo pedal case, does it come with the bone, or is it an option..

does this looper allow you to use a volume pedal inbetween loops after overdrives? or only before this looper? Is it possible to position the volume pedal between loop 4 and 5?

Hi Henning, probably an obvious question, but on my pedal board I have a volume pedal after the overdrive, distortion and tremolo but before the delay, so that the trails linger after the drive is cut, for swell etc. Does that mean the volume pedal would go in one of the loops and then get programmed in place?

Joyo is the king of reasonably-priced gear & accessories. I would recommend using pedalboard tape in place of velcro.

Sir...i have a question... In my pedalboard....i have joyo pxl8 switcher.....and also have joyo preamp house have send and return.... What connection i have to get...

I have the Pro. Cannot get EH to program. EL went fine, no problems. But I get nothing out of EH. I switched a couple pedals from H to L and still nothing out of H side? Each pedal in the 4 H loops work. When plugged into H side, all I get is amp sound, like I'm stuck in bi-pass? Not using effects loop, any triggers and buffers are all off as well. Any ideas?

As I understand it... if I run my amp(s) clean I can have my entire effect chain into the front(s) instead of having to resort to using the effect loop(s) in the back(s)... as long as the pedal order is correct and I have an insert cable running into two amps I don't need a tuner 'mute' foot switch then. The tuner pedal already has that when I put it in front of the entire chain I think I'll be getting the Joyo version instead of the new Harley Benton one. It's cheaper as well It was between this and the first Carl Martin Octa-Switch for me. Neither have the mute button function. But the Joyo just has more options because of the banks. It's also cheaper and easier to find right now. While the Octa-Switch III is €350! I'm so glad I'm not into getting my gain from amps

Hi i just got the Joyo PXL8 my problem is that when i used my distortion from the amp i get a bad out off face sound when i turn on the eventide H9, without the amp dist. its sounds great. the order is 1- Ego Wampler 2- Silencer Electro harmonix 3- Sonic stomp 4- MXR Phase 90 5- Neo Mistress 6- H9 Eventide The Whammy and Morley are link together like you normally do if you don`t have a PXL8 Yuo Rock thank you Brother.

What about using stereo effects? Say I wanted to use stereo chorus, delay and reverb. Is it possible to put them in different loops and only connect the left outputs to the PXL8 while connecting the right inputs/outputs of the respective pedals? Hope that makes sense. Sorry for making this even more complicated. Cheers.

Once you think you have chosen what you want for a preset, can you play through it to see if you like it before you hit the store button? Do they stay on.... like a manual kind of mode.... So you are sure you want to keep that sound you created.

Hi. I just bought the PXL8. I am not using Amp, just plugging in the mixer. I use TS9,BAD MONKEY and the DYNA COMP and when changing the loop (from A to B for instance) i hear very loud "click" , especially if i am playing on some big stage. This is a real issue for me. So the question is: if i wil use a noice gate in the end if the chain, will it helo me to get rid of this click? One more thing... i tried the NS-2 by BOSS, but it didnt help when my compressor is on.

Hi, great demo. I am buying a used Harley Benton FLX8 Pro which I belive is similar to Joyo PLX Pro. Want to use the FLX8 switch for all my pedals. Planning to connect my delay through the fx loop, all other pedals in front of amp. >Question about noise gate placement (isp decimator version 1): I wonder if it would be possible to connect my isp to one of the loops (alone) in the flx8 switch or if it is best to have it connected after the entire switch? If I have the isp single connected in the switch I could use it together with any pedals I want (very flexible)? If I put the isp after the switch my delay would go through the isp as well (which I don't want)? I am little bit confused. A third alternative could be grouping my noisiest pedals in one of the loops together with the isp? Answer would be great appriciated. :-)

I found this series explaining the looper/switcher and thought it was awesome…EXCEPT for the fact that he totally ignores the questions in the comments. If you are going to teach someone something, you must expect questions and it would have been so much more helpful if they were answered.

So all pedals are in front of the amp? Modulation and time effects aren't run from amps fx loop?

Great video!!! Thank you for all the demos you have posted on youtube. Just got a question about putting pedals before/after the JOYO. If I have for example a compressor that is always on anyway, do you think it's fine to just put it this way: Guitar-VolumePedal-Tuner-Compressor-JOYO? In order to save a loop? or do I really need to put that compressor in the JOYO loops? Same way with an EQ pedal, if I only use it as a boost, can I just put it after the JOYO before the amp? Or it needs to be in the JOYO loops? Thank you so much!!!

I have the PXL8, or harley benton one. Identical. Is there a way to change the order of the loops. So say on preset has overdrive A after pedal B? Instead of right to left?

Hi and thank you for being so funny while educating us about these switchers, better than the product chinese english manuals. Anyway, I am trying to make my pedal setup in stereo and I need some help how to do this if I am using the PXL8. On my setup right now, I can run stereo when I use the stereo out of my delay pedal going into the 2nd amp. But this setup only makes my setup in stereo if only that delay pedal loop is on. I would like to be able to make everything in stereo. I can remove that delay pedal from the PXL8 and just put it after it, but I was hoping not to do that because I want that delay pedal in my PXL loops. So I was thinking, maybe I should buy an extra pedal with stereo out, and put it after the PXL8? but which pedal would you recommend for doing that? Noise gate? another delay pedal? Or, do you know another way to make my whole pedals in PXL8 in stereo? My setup is this: Guitar-Vol Pedal-Tuner-Compressor- then this goes into the PXL8-Distortion-Overdrive-EQ-Chorus-Strymon Elcapistan Delay-MXR Carbon Copy-PXL OUT To AMP. Great demo! I do have a question however. Do you experience any premature signal cut when your running into the noise suppressor from the output of the PXL8? I would think that the delay trails and reverb trails would be cut off too soon (although it doesn't sound like it when you're using your super lead with the delay). I do a lot of ambient type guitar work with clean tones and I guess I'm just looking for suggestions. Thanks!

How do you bypass the looper?

I use my noise gate (MXR noise clamp) right b4 my distortions, guitar chain = Tuner -> noise gate - "send" -> 3 DIS pedals -> noise gate - "return". And in the output of the noise clamp goes to my MOD and delay. This is the most effective way for me so I dont have my delay cut off and it actually cleans my signal. If if use this joyo looper, how can I use my noise gate (send and return) to clean my signal right after my guitar input the distortion? my future chain path will be = Guitar - Tuner - noise gate "send" - distortions - boost - noise gate "return" - chorus - delay - amp will this be possible using joyo pxl pro? ALSO: If I want to use my delay pedal with a specific tempo (using a tap tempo pedal), what will happen when I switch between patches/presets? will the delay setting reset or keep the same tempo on all patches as long as its on? will it "spillover" with the same tempo to my other presets? Hi, is it possible to add an effect to a saved tone manually? e. g. patch 1 distortion + delay then add a wah wah by turning the wah wah on manually? Also, can I add a multi effects in this looper specifically line 6 M5?

Hello! thanks for great videos :) i just bought a Joyo pxl8, thinking it was perfekt for my setup. but i have to be able to use the fx loop of the amp with the joyo, and in this video you say the it can't be done. but i read in the manual of the carl martin octaswitch, that it is possible to use one of the loops of the octaswitch to connect it to the fx loop of the amp. by taking f. example the "send" of loop nr5 , and connecting it to the front of the amp. and then connect the "fx send" from the fx loop of the amp into the "return" of loop nr5 of the octaswitch. and then go from loop nr8 and into the fx return of the amp. do you think it is possible to do with the joys pxl8?i would be really grateful for help with this issue :) keep up the great work!! thanx

Hi man, I have a CRAZY question!?!?!?!? I have an amp with a FX loop at the back, and Id like to use the PXL8 to control my pedals going in the input of the amp as well as on the FX loop. My idea is to use one of the JOYOs loops for the preamp of my amp. Id like to use/sacrifice “LOOP 5” on the joyo as such; JOYO SEND in the Amp INPUT, and the FX SEND from my amp in the JOYO RETURN. Id keep loop 5 on my Joyo on at all times. Is that gonna work or I’m missing something very obvious?

So this is another switch that cuts the tails... :(

An excellent and amusing explanation up until 13:28 - where the PLX8 programming section starts. The ‘let’s learn together’ lost me - or more specifically, convinced me that a non-programmable switcher like the Swift SL8 (there are loads of switcher variations) is what I need when choosing say a wah, boost, phaser combination while in full flight on a dark stage! Thanks again for helping me make the decision. The PXL8 unit is undoubtedly excellent value, can isolate a malfunctioning pedal and produce a smorgasbord of sounds. But for me, simplicity rules with only a bit of tap dancing on the non-programmable 10 loop Swift.
