I tried baking this Blueberry bread today and it’s so good!! Turned out so well. I wish I could post pictures of it here.

I never would have thought to mix my zest in with the sugar. A great idea! I love watching her videos. I'm 77 years old and still learning. Thank you dear. 🙂💖

I baked this bread, it's the best blueberry bread I've ever had.

I started the day with a terrible migraine and watching Joy has been easy to listen to and learn from. I also have not seen anyone use a Kenwood mixer on KZfaq. I have my mom’s which is 60 years old and going strong.

The intro music makes me feel like drinking a coconut on the beach on an island...nice recipe.

I just baked this recipe and it came out perfect using gluten free flour. It's cooling right now and smells so good in my apartment smells like first class bakery kitchen. Thank you so much Ms. Stephanie, your recipes for sure are perfectly delicious !

The Joy of Baking is the joy it brings to others. My neighbours across the street have just come out of hospital 2 wks ago from battling covid. So far we have sent over Joy of Baking Chicken Pot Pie, Banana Bread, and as of last night... some Blueberry Muffins that were elevated by this lemon glaze. WOW - good timing I just made blue berry Muffins yesterday. When using frozen blueberries I always layer them in the batter in the pan, using a spoon so they don't bleed the batter. The thicker the batter the better the berries stay in place. Some how I used this same recipe only doubled it for nine big muffins. Over half of them went into the freezer. This blue berry bread is so good. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I think it's the best one out there.

If you put the sugar with the lemon zest in a food processor and give it a pulse it will really bring out the lemon. Saw that on America Test Kitchen.

hi Stephanie, its been awhile since we've writen, but tonight i baked this bread to gift to my realtor, who loved blllueberries! i used the zest from an orange, and will probably use oj from thatsame fruit b4 gifting him this bread! It looks lovely and smells great although it needed less an hour to bake! i learned about mixing the zest with sugar from th Preppy chef and you're so right, the fragrance is amazing! Delicious! I used a couple of hand fulls of frozen blackberries n baked it in a square dish as a coffee cake. Used baking parchment under. Enhanced it a bit more with 4 drops of pure lemon essential oil. I have a great new way to use my frozen berries. I bet it would bake well as muffins. Dip d warm ones in butter n then in more lemon sugar.
