December Kayak Fishing in Michigan - Breaking Ice! 😮😎

6 ай бұрынThe Michigan weather warmed up enough for me to take the kayak out and try some fishing...but I certainly wasn't expecting to run into ice. The Old Town Sportsman 106MK turned into an ice breaker :-) There were 10-15mph winds with gusts hitting 25mph. I only got 1 bite during 3 hours of fishing...a Northern Pike that managed to get off...ugh!

Hi Steve! Man...I wish I was down there with you 🙂 I imagine it's at least warmer down there. Yeah...if a weather opportunity opens up around here I hope to keep getting out on the kayak. The El Nino this winter is supposed to keep things warmer and dryer than normal...but that's necessarily saying much 🤣 Hope you have a safe and happy holiday season this year!!!!

A fellow Michigander kayak fisherman 🙋♂️👍 How's the fishing on your side of the State? Yeah...I was out yesterday in the high winds but didn't even get one bite 😥 With the "warm" winter we've been having I plan to keep trying as long as I can. Thanks for the comment...I really appreciate it! 🙂
