No one person can take them to the world series. I do believe they will make it to post season n even to the world series n this may be THE YEAR OF THE YANKEES, I BELIEVE!

I disagree with this video. Pitching is crucial in winning. The Yankees do NOT have great pitching. I don't honestly know why this guy says the Yankees have good starters and relievers. Cole is the only true good pitcher the Yanks have. Yes, Clay Holmes was the best in the bullpen in 2023. But, overall, the Yankee pitching blew eight saves in '23 in extra innings. That is a 16 games swing. Also, Yankee pitching gave up at least five runs in 54 games last year. Good pitching is more important than home run hitters.

you're wrong...Soto lengthens the lineup so that rizzo, torres and stanton are the numbers 4, 5, and 6 hitters and verdugo add to the offense as the number 7 hitter and batting 9th is volpe who may have a strong second year...if they can stay healthy this is going to be a strong hitting team..

They look pretty good..... but it's easier to say 1 team doesn't win than to say it will win so picking the field over the Yankees isn't a hot take or some intelligent insight. You want some unforseen insight? The Nationals will make the playoffs. You heard it here first.

Cannot disagree here now lol… the reason why the Yankees will never be the greatest again is because they’ll never have a team like they had say 9698. I mean the whole team in full is what made them great they’re just not the Yankees.now or back in Yogi days .. It’s like Chicago Bears without Walter Payton and that whole 85 defensive lineup …Chicago Bears were the greatest 85 SB champs.. because of the whole united team you cannot pick a team like that again if you tried They are held at such high standards to bypass and TODAY cannot do it, you cannot bypass Jeter, Boggs, Tino (infamous grand slam WS game 1 -7th inning 1998)Wells, , Paul, , Girardi, Posada, you can’t pick a team like that even chuck Knoblauch , badass Rivera ..I mean, I can go on for days and days.. they just don’t make them like that anymore. We gotta deal with it.

9-2 with no Cole, and Judge and Torres not doing anything yet. Rizzo is healthy and it looks like Volpe is taking a big step, and, oh yeah, Soto has brought the Yankees to multiple victories in his first 11 games with the team, so he's already made a mockery of the name of your video....and you spent 1/2 the time talking about Stanton. Learn to control your hate of the Yankees, and you'll make more objective points.....maybe.

I grew up a Astros and Yankees fan, one team was the BIG Evil Empire and the other was team that can't win (no matter the potential). But today the Astros are the bad guys the new Evil Empire, so now the roles are reversed.

@@tishtashtishtashI grew up Houston, but was raised loving the history that the Yankees had created. And in Texas you either like the Astros or Rangers, and Houstonians dislike Dallas. And people from Dallas dislike Houston, so it was one of the other. And I respect the historical significance of the Yanks. But they have lost those values in my opinion

@@tishtashtishtash BUT as an old school Yanks fan (dating back to the late 70's), these new Yankee teams don't have that same appeal or do i even say heart of the older versions. Yes the 80's were a bleak time for them, BUT they had the dark horse of Billy Martin. And his passion always made that team dangerous, when George passed, it seems the team passed with him. This new regime doesn't have the heart, passion or desire to win. BUT they should, they should have a reign. They should be the most feared team playing today
@tishtashtishtash5 ай бұрын
@@MrBrianSalinas that’s fair. But then again, they outdraw every other team on the road. So there must be something there.

Talking about mentality is pure speculation. In baseball when teams play bad they always look flat and uninspired. I like to try to keep to factualities. . First of all, the roster is put together really badly with too many injury-prone, strike-out prone, past-their-prime players. Even when they had a magnificent first half in '22, that and Cashman's deadline trades did them in. Secondly, as for the acquisition of Soto, it will help offensively, cause he gets on base a lot, doesn't strike out and will benefit from Yankee Stadium short pitch in right. Furthermore at his age he'll probably improve on his already great offense. Having said that, his defense is below average, but with the DH-spot being overcrowded already, he'll have too play the outfield. There is talk he'll be in RF with Judge patrolling center. If so, Judge will be average there and he will be even more likely to injure himself. Last but not least, Soto does seem to be a big showy ego, which could very well hurt team-chemistry. My take is that the Soto deal will only work out if the rest of the roster stays healthy and has decent seasons, which isn't impossible, but not very likely.
