I was in Cascais/Portugal show Judas Priest + Annihilator + Pantera. Pantera played Cowboys from Hell Album. That was an extreamly amazing concert!! I will never forget that night \m/ \m/ R.I.P. Dime... :(

Dime was a sweetheart. I had the pleasure of meeting him and we talked KISS like two brothers would. He was salt of the earth and a real badass. I miss him.

Wow what an awesome story! I’m originally from Toronto an was definitely there when this happened, but unfortunately I had no clue who Pantara was at that point....I actually just recently started realizing just how fucking great Dimebag was...I missed out for so many years. You can also just tell Dimebag was an amazing human being, not a person has a bad thing to say about his heart, character or passion.

resumido, Rob cuenta como lo conocio durate la gira del Painkiller en Canada y como de imediato le llamo la atencion la forma que hablaba y se desenolvia (los vio tocando esa noche en un programa llamado Much Music), depues se junto con ellos y Rob incluso se les unio para cantar un par de canciones de Judas Prist en otra tocata que tubieron esa misma noche en un bar de Toronto. Rob decide llevarlos como banda soporte por la gira europea del Painkiller. tambien cuenta la buena reaccion de la gente durante la guira europea (todos preguntadose WTF?). por ultimo mesiona que no puede espoerar el momento en que se les pueda unir (tambien mesiona a Dio) en la otra vida para hacer algo juntos, o como el dice:"para empesar a gritar". \mm/

Isn't it funny how Rob and Ozzy as the Godfathers of heavy metal are still alive while many legends are gone. Imagine how they will write a tune for their awaited Fathers so they can join them. I can't even imagine how a song made for them both would sound like. 🤣

That was part of his charm. He was like a little kid, but sweet as can be. If you were in his presence you didn't feel intimidated, you felt like you was talking to your brother. Vinnie was the same way.

Much Music still exists. I liked it when I was 11, but now, I think it sucks, except for reruns of the Simpsons and reruns and new episodes of South Park. Today's music sucks. RIP Dimebag Darrell.

Mickey Deez Mainstream music is terrible for the most part. There are exception like Lupe Fiasco but everything else that comes to mind is trash. There is great music like Haken, Warbringer, Royal Blood, Steve Wilson, Suicidal Angels, Lazarus A.D., Skeletonwitch, etc. I think there is music to explore. Nowadays it isnt by word of mouth as much as it is by looking it up on forums and stuff like that.

I don't listen to all that much music, let alone metal music past the 21st century. However, I am a huge fan of A7X and Disturbed. The only mainstream acts of today I respect are Sam Smith and I like Imagine Dragons.
